i agree they are for powering the charging...

i agree

they are for powering the charging circuit to the trailer batteries only.

some say to leave out when not needed-- as if left in the 7way connecter has 12+volts that are not being used,...

our airstream is a 1961 bambi, #3 out of california. the end caps are fiberglass, 1/2 way up the wall to the ceiling. that's a fact. it would pay to look at that area first.......

i added that vent cover to our camper, parts from out of doors mart. i did use a stainless screen from a kitchen strainer instead of aluminum screening. but now i'm liking your weatherizing cap....
