State of WBCCI in Photo

It appears the "header photo" of the Airforums webpage is showing the current state of the WBCCI.

A photo of a newer "Motorhome" leading a bunch of newer trailers around with the VAC trailer hanging on at the end for some reason, going down a road in the middle of "no-where" that has a yellow sign at the end of it with an arrow pointing in two directions!

You just can't make this stuff up.

OH, PLEASE! It's a very fun picture showing several different types of Airstreams heading somewhere to have some fun. Don't read more into it than that.
As the owner of one of those newer motor homes, it's nice to be included in the picture. Thanks to whoever included it!

Just in case you wanted to see the whole image.....

Actually, it would be nice to see maybe a rotating banner that changes all the time.

Polarization? ... perhaps some rose colored glasses will bring relief. At this point are we not all Airstreamers? The appeal and first line of defense of the intraclubs appears to be the refining (or defining and testing) of preemptive self appreciation. WBCCI just needs to add a new category or two to accomodate all... maybe some more flags and distinctive badges and awards and special parking? After the International Club and the Thor Motorclub get added it's just going to be just that much harder to be perceived even more special than the last of the mere run of the mill member, now isn't it?

I wholeheartedly agree...this image just happens to be the one selected for now - I had nothing to do with it's selection other than posting it in the "request" thread.

Actually, the whole image is even better...it shows that we may have been in the middle of nowhere, but it was a beautiful area with wonderful friends!

So Paul, you want to know the real story behind the photo?

I took it when I was the DenCO President and we were on a mid-week caravan near Bayard, NE. This caravan was planned with very well attended rallies on both weekends flanking it. We tend to plan events like this in our Unit so the entire group can participate on whatever level they can. Weekdays for those that can get away and "just the weekends" closer to home for those that still work. The reason the vintage rig is "hanging on at the end" is I orchestrated the picture and that was my trailer at the time. The arrows pointing both ways were because we were at the end of the road and had to turn one way or another.

The picture actually represents quite the opposite of what you suggest - it is intended to represent a GREAT mix of different people and rigs that were traveling together as a unified group. So sorry you seem to want to look for the negative to support your point of view. Shame on you!

Shari

Great picture!

Hi, the first picture used, had people complaining that it was backward; This was almost immediately after the picture was displayed. Then people wanted something new. And It should be new, at least monthly. Now we have picture number two. In the header photo, I can't see half of the Airstreams let alone the yellow sign and wasn't concerned about the Red numbers either. I think it looks great. Maybe if my picture was chosen, someone would complain that scenery is too orange.

As W.C. Fields would have said: "Ahhhh it's too hot." ----------"Ahhhh it's too cold." ----------- "Ahhhh It's too medium."

Now that's a caravan! But what happened to the old rule, "If you can read the numbers of the guy ahead of you, you're following too close?"

Shame on you

Wow, talk about negative people!

I never said “anything” negative about the WBCCI, just described a photo.

If “negative” is where your mind/heart goes then “Shame on you”, it appears you must think the WBCCI has a problem. I for one don't. (paid the dues two weeks ago)

Again, I never said this photo shows the WBCCI has a problem.

One could say, this photo shows where the WBCCI has gone down a road to the middle of “no where” and the motorhome owner leading the group has come to the turning point in the road and the group behind it has great faith they will make the right decision on which way to turn and lead the club to glory once again.

I’m sure the motorhome owner in this photo made the right decision on which way to turn and guided the caravan to a glorious/wonderful place where they all sang “Kumbya” much like the current leadership will do with the WBCCI.
