Got two new Element Fire Extinguishers installed, one by the door and one in the bedroom. Removed the factory extinguisher. Good for Class A,B,C and K class fires.

Repaired one of my rear storage locks, it fell apart, I noticed it had been "patched" by the PO with a self taper screw, so I made a short screw, re tapped the new thread size, and a little dab of loc-tite and good as newClick image for larger version

Dave,

Just curious where, in the bedroom, you placed the second extinguisher?

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

Never heard of those before and just looked it up. Is that the model E 50. Looks more compact and effective. I’m assuming you just use the basic mount smaller mount?

We’re trying to buy a new toilet too, but we’re having trouble finding one that sits far enough from the back wall. We only have 8.5 inches from the wall to the center of the hole. We looked at the 310, but the manufacturer is indicating we’d need minimum 9.5 inches. We have a 2006 Safari 25 FB. Can you tell me what your measurement is (from the picture, your bathroom looks just like ours)? Thanks for any help.

Not sure on the measurement but ours is a 2007 Safari 25FB. I think it'd be perfect fit.

New decals and chrome belt.

This is more what did I do for my trailer today. I tried to buy new Classic badges, but they are no longer available, so I refinished mine. I sanded the raised aluminum with 600 grit and then 2500 grit sandpaper to polish the letters and outer oval. I then spray painted them and removed the paint on the raised sections with acetone and Q-Tips. Love the new look!

Old and refurbished.

I have a FBQ and mounted the bedroom extinguisher at the foot of the bed on the backside of the bathroom wall, low and close to the exterior wall.

Yes two E 50's. When I got them the supplied mounting clip didn't look sturdy enough for use in the trailer so I ordered two "Quick Fist Heavy Duty Mounts" from Element.

Got around to installing a 250ah Lithium Battery under the front bed, I took out the stock converter and stuck in a 55amp unit that has customizable settings.

I also added a Victron 712 Battery Monitor and if anyone hasn't installed one of these, I highly recommend it. The information that you can pull out of it is very useful.

Ran new wiring for my 2 portable panels, the stock Zamp A-frame connection will be removed as it is not functional anymore.

I also reinforced the bed framing as it was quite soft around the edges.

Just another day as an Airstream owner!

Hi, my Safari had the same problem. I installed an "Aqua Magic Style ll" in mine.

x2. I did the same. It's the only one I could find that would fit properly.

Made a Teak Shower Mat

I saw the Teak shower mats on the Airstream Supply site and thought "I could make one of those" after seeing the price.

Did some "reverse-engineering" after reviewing the photo and figured out the slats and cleats. We're lucky to have a hardwood store nearby with any species you can imagine. The board I selected was 4.7 board ft. of African Teak and cost $64. I ended up with a third of the board left over. Airstream Supply sells the mat for a 27FB for $269.

I cut the pieces yesterday and assembled it today. Put two coats of Teak Oil on it and some 3M rubberized non-slip strips on the bottom. Fun project!

Nicely done.

I assume stainless steel screws in the 3/4” cleats from the bottom. How thick and wide are the slats on top? How thick was the board?

My table saw and thickness planer are tuning up and waiting in the wings!
