My wife would appreciate it if you would provide me with the details of the conversion.

I have my wheel lock prototype back from the powder coaters. There are some tweaks to do but I am getting close.

Re comments on Zapper post. If you use a 32" Vizio rather than the Samsung tv you will not have to modify the mounting or use a digital to analog converter.

Those are the cleanest wheels.. and the Armor All (or whatever) is making those tires gleam!

Ciao Paisano,

Will that work with any 3 burner Dometic Stove Top? Please provide the source for the cast iron grate so that I can prevent my Mocha Pot from walking around the top of the OEM slick grill.

Thanks, they are clean and that's after returning from our last trip The trailer needs a bath as it is all dusty.

I picked up some "Tyre Dressing" from Auto Glym. It seems to stay put a bit longer than Armor All.

Well named

I finally got the motivation to install the SmartPlug jack. Despite years of phone company wiring experience, I HATE messing with electrical. Then there is the thought of opening up a can of worms on the exterior skin. Worries were quickly resolved, installed in under 30 minutes. Toughest part was bending the wiring to fit in the jack...that is some serious gauge wire. Fits perfect and works like a champ. Some may think it's unnecessary but now the wife no longer has any excuse to avoid connecting the electrical. She seemed to be threaded-connection challenged. All is good, but then posting this I had to see the Dura faucet. Damn. What do I need to know about opening that up? Plumbing doesn't bum me out but it still involves exposing under the skin. Is it an exact fit and how does it seal? Answers or not, it's about a click away on the Amazon Death Star.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

Huh, my SmartPlugs plastic parts are all orange. When did they come out with a blue one

It’s a great connector, open the lid, shove the plug in, then a little left-right wiggle and it locks up like a bank vault.

New front plug for the generator...

Actually it's black. Cell phone picture in the shade probably gives a bluish tint, along with some of the blue power indicator light. There is either an orange or black option.

Swapped out the bedroom curtains for a couple new Oceanair shades.

Really opens up that dark corner of the trailer.

Also, swapped out the "too bright" reading lights and speakers.

Like the light. Where did you source them from? Thanks

Thanks, I am thinking about making a batch soon after refining this prototype.

I need to work on a few details with the lock and how we are going to deal with additional tire sizes. Then do some destructive testing so see how it can be hacked.

Pretty easy swap. With mine, 3 of the 4 had the orange Airstream electrical clip connectors, super easy wire connections (for some reason one of the original light connections in the rear were simple butt connectors).

Depending on where Airstream drilled the original wire holes on your unit, between the speaker and light, it can be pretty tight fit (over the dinette). You'll see when you get the original light out.

I ended up not using the flat round mounting plate on the rear since the lights and speakers are spaced further apart (super clean look in this configuration).

Once the new lights are installed, play around with the dimming feature. The light will remember the dimness level you set it at. It took me a few minutes to figure it out.

The new light has a warmer color output than the bright harsh original Flying Cloud lights. Took me a little to get used to it, but love it now.

The new lights look extremely high quality for the price.

Good luck.

Report your results.

This is a very expensive thread. The first two pics are the most recent of many installation ideas I've taken from here. The last one is my contribution for others to contemplate buying.

General Ecology's (the maker of the Seagull marine and RV water filter systems) Nature Pure faucet and H2O filter. I was a little nervous drilling a hole in the Corian countertop but it was easy with a new holesaw.

I haven't run across this in this thread so I offer this for your consideration.
UDAP's bear spray. Stored by the door with holster for leaving the trailer with it close by.
