The Bunny and I just got home from Win River... Just in time to sit down and watch the 49ers play the Rams.
Anyway, we both like the new RV sites at Win River, but they are very basic. No Restroom/showers, pool, or hottub... But the price is right...
The hook-ups are well designed and located in just the right location for easy hook-up. Also, I was able to leave my truck hitched up to Rita all weekend, because The Bunny drove her car down, so we were able to go home Saturday morning and shower & check on things. Our house is only 14 miles away.
Here's some pics of the 13 pull-thru RV sites & my $14 antena.

Looks like a fun time Rex. Rita looks nice with those shades on. I haven't heard about the refund you were waiting on. Is that all squared away? It is nice to stay at places that have showers for the kids but I always shower in Abby. As much money as I've spent on Abby's bathroom, I need to use it!

Today, I used my 4" grinder, to "shave" the edge of the screen door and the door jam. The top right corner wasn't closing, because the corner of the screen door was hitting the door jam.
Anyway, the door no longer pushes outward on the top right side... And, I no longer have to "slam" the darn thing, to get it closed... which is a good thing.

The last four days, The Bunny and I have been parked at the Redding Elk's RV "park"... It's a great deal if you're passing thru Redding, and you're an Elk member.
They have 30/50 amp power, water, and a sewer drop. It's $10 bucks a night for a Redding member, and $20 per night if you're a member of any other lodge. I will post some photos of the sites tomorrow, after Monday Night Football, and once I bring Rita back home on Tuesday.
The Lodge is in a great location along the Sacramento River (SR), and the SR bike trail... so bring your bike! If you ride up river, you can go all the way to Shasta Dam (12 miles), or you can go down river to the Sundial Bridge & Convention Center (3 miles), plus you can connect to the newest section of trail (the Dana Trail), which ends at Dana Street... at the Mt. Shasta Mall.
If you plan to go the the Car show (in April), Big Bike Weekend, or 4th of July, check-in early, because it fills up fast, and there is no "Dry Camping" in the parking lot!

Just got back from four days of camping at the Redding Elk's lodge RV park. Friday night we played cards and had dinner at the lodge. Saturday night we attended our annual "Motorcycle Friends" xmas party at John and Cathy's place, just 3 blocks from the Elk's. And Monday night football was fantastic..with the Niners winning, and $5 Pulled Pork sandwiches. Plus, I got in a couple of bicycle rides in, with temps in the low 70's during the day.
The RV sites are very basic, so make sure you bring your "Blue Boy" if you're camping in a vintage Airstream. The only thing I don't like... I had to un-hook my truck... yes, I'm lazy!

I pulled Rita down to Win River Casino yesterday. The Bunny didn't know that I was going to set-up Rita at there RV park, so she was happy, and surprised to find out last night. I played cards, and the Bunny played slots with my sister. Slept in this morning... got home around 2 PM... it was a fun "One Nighter"!

For New Years, we are going to our favorite RV park... Feather Falls Casino! The weather has been nice, here in northern California. 60's during the day, and low 30's at night. So, hopefully it will continue thru the end of the year.
Merry Xmas & and Happy New Year's Streamers...

The Bunny and I just got back from Feather Falls Casino & RV park. We had a great time... Our friends, Indian Mike and Cris, met us New Year's eve...they just bought an RV, so they stayed in the parking lot, because the KOA was sold out.
The cover band was the Spazmatics... fun group, they play 80's rock and new wave music. The concert was sold out, and the Bunny and I didn't have tickets. But we found a way to sneak into the venue. I felt like I was 12 years old again... sneaking into the old Cascade Theater to see the latest "Disney" film!
They still have one dollar beers... need I say more?
Overall we had a fantastic time... the beer was cheap, the food was good, the weather was perfect, and Indian Mike didn't get cut-off this time, so all was great.
Here's the bands web site... check out the spazmatics music video... The Spazmatics | nerds, dragonfly, 80s, new wave cover band, comedy
I didn't mean to post that last pic...it's from Feather Falls, but from last year's trip to the KOA.

Thanks "Trainer Of Personnel", (TOP), I see you got a 70's 3/4 ton pickup truck, looks like it's in great shape. It should do a nice job, pulling your 72 Overlander....

Today I'm moving Rita down to a Elk's Lodge RV site, in Redding town... for 14 days. I'm doing this becasue I'm starting a tree cuting project along the property line, next to Rita's home in our back yard. And once that is finished, I hope to build a new fence on the "Real property line, which will give me another 5' to 7' x 80' of ground, along that north property line.
The reason I'm doing all this work, is so I can build a Steel framed RV awning over Rita's home base. I need 5' of "set Back" from the north property line....
Tomorrow, I meet the supervisor from our power company, to see if they will remove the trees that are entangled in the power lines going to the two homes behind me...Friday, I meet with Rod, the property owner to my north. Hopefully, we can agree where the new fence line will go.
Tonight there is a Texas hold'em poker tournament at the Elk's... so we may stay in Rita tonight. Saturday, the 49ers play, so we'll be back at the Elk's for more RV fun.

Yesterday, the power company completed there part of the tree trimming project along the property line & Rita's home base. With their bucket truck, they were able to remove all of the wild grape, and fast growing weed trees from the power line.
Today, I'm meeting with Rod, the property owner of the rental on my north side of me. Hopefully, we can agree on the "real" property line and I can start cutting out the understory of the weed trees, wild grape, and brush. Lots of work to complete, before I can build a RV awning for Rita. In Califorina, the foundation for the awning must be 12"x12"x length of concrete, so I will also have to remove the old fence posts...LOTS of WORK!
I have Rita set up at the Elk's Lodge, and The Bunny and I stayed there Wed. night. I stayed in the Poker tournament four only 4 rounds, (card dead), but still had a great night meeting some of the other Elk members.

Just got back a couple of hours ago from the Elks lodge in Redding... We had a great time Friday night, with a table of nine for dinner, which included my parents, and my sister Patti-Jo.
Saturday I went on a nice bike ride, on the river trail, and then back to the Elks for the 49er game. There was a Wedding in the main section of the Elks Lodge, so The Bunny made a really nice plate of houderves for our group to munch on during the game.
The only bad thing that happened.... our Queen "Air/spring bed" sprung a leak! I pulled it out to see if I could patch the hole. But I can't find the leak! So, I have it here at the house, and will try to patch or replace tomorrow. Rita will be at the Elks lodge until Jan. the 25th, so we will return next weekend.
Tomorrow I will be cutting trees and brush along the property line....so its nice that Rita is out of the way, just in case I fall a tree the wrong way!

Monday, and Tuesday were really cold... Temps down to 19 degrees. I drained my water line "white-hose", before I left on Sunday, and left my electric heater on a timer, so all was good this morining when I checked on Rita at the Elks RV park. Five other RV's had broken hoses from the deep freeze. Based on what Tony the maintenance guy said.
Tuesday I finished cutting down all the trees along the property line, so "Step One" is done, of my Airstream awning project. Also placed some fence posts in concrete along the "real" property line... looks like I will gain 90' x 6'= 540 sq ft. along the north property line. This will give me the off-set from the property line needed to get a building permit for the Airstream awning.
Today it's rainings, so I'm taking the day off...plus running a chainsaw two days in a row just about killed me! I'm pretty sore today.

Today, I found the hole in our air mattress... doesn't look like I can patch the hole. So, we ordered another mattress from Spring Air mattress company. The company calls there product an "Air chamber", and they cost $100 bucks! They're Air chamber is shorter & thinner than a standard air mattress, so you can't replace it with a $20 Walmart special.
