Looks like we’re going to have a nice hot week in Lancaster, PA next week. Finished up the aluminum wall on top of the microwave where the original TV was. The entertainment center in the front is all done as well as the new base for the larger bed (Olympic) I’m going to look for a German Shepard while I’m down in Lancaster, it’s been 4 years since I lost Hanns …

Back to working on the trailer…..we’re going to use both the 370LE and the 34’ Classic this summer. I finished the track set up for the new recliner which I will install this week. I’m hooking it up to a 12” 12 volt linear actuator so it will slide the recliner away from the wall 8” so the recliner will fully recline. Regards, Bob

I finished up the install of the new track roller set up to bring the recliner away from the wall so it will fully recline. I picked out a 6000N linear actuator with an 8” stroke that should work well. Regards, Bob

Getting ready to start the diesel/Duramax-Allison conversion on my 2004 Yukon XL Quadrasteer. Next years trip to the Tetons will be the real test. I found a NOS front bumper with the extra cooling holes which was available on the Yukons that were equipped with the 8.1 Litre big block. More to follow. Regards, Bob

Colonial Airstream, New Jersey. Simply the best. Total turn around time on the repair, 3 weeks. A special shout out to Christine Smith for getting things done in a world today where it seems like nothing gets done. Customer service is the best I have ever experienced anywhere…..hands down. I’ve been to Jackson Center 4 times, customer service there simply “SUCKS”. It seems like everyone is burnt out at the MotherShip. If you want to see a state of the art facility check out Colonial’s website and look at some of the pictures from the body shop repairs. The showroom is the best I have ever seen. Not to mention the “millions” of dollars in new stock inventory, no joke, you need to see this facility to believe it ! Regards, Bob

Moving forward with the diesel conversion on the 2004 Yukon XL Quadrasteer……we were planning on sandblasting, priming, and painting the frame, but that is not going to work…….I need a frame, 20 years of the northeast’s calcium chloride have taken their hold. I’m either going to use a down south used 2500 series frame or a new 3500 series (government issue) frame which needs some minor modifications to work.
