Extras with my new 30' Classic Ltd.

When I looked into the storage bin that's beneath the wardrobe in our new Airstream that we picked up from Turner Airstream over the weekend, it had various assorted items in it. Among others, there was a real nice All-In-One Level Master RV level, a Thetford Curved Sewer Hose Adaptor, an Ideal circuit tester, a 12V plug of some type made by Theodore Bargman, and a couple other miscellaneous items. I don't know if the dealer gave them to me, or they came with the trailer from Airstream. Who do I thank for these unexpected goodies?

Also, there was a really nice breifcase to carry the owners manual in, that I assume came from Airstream. That's a nice extra touch as well!

On the other side, I thought from the pictures of the Classics shown in Airstream's litererature that my unit would come with a magazine rack attached to the wall just inside the outside door. Did Airstream do away with these racks but contineu to picture them in the literature. (I know they carryover pictures from prior years.) What's the scoop?

Thanks, John

My dealer provided some of the extras, but one that I know of, the Airstream bag is an Airstream provided item.

On ours we got the power "cheater" plug that allows the 30a cord to be connected to a standard 15a outlet. We also got a power tester similar to yours, a short fresh water hose, silverware tray and for some reason 2 external water pressure regulators. When I asked why, they said they sell SOBs too and that they don't make a special Airstream package...some SOBs don't have water pressure regulators built in!

BTW...in that Airstream bag, you should have a binder with all the owner's manual and warranty cards as well in it.

It is a nice bunch of goodies that the factory sends out. The blue breifcase is really nice and I am considering stealing it from my trailer for my everyday book bag.

I have that mag rack and I love it for storage of things I need frequently when outside. I wonder why yours was left off? Another item for your list.

Goodies too

San Antonio Airstream provided us with a similar package of goodies - sewer hose, etc. We purchased several "starter" requirements

Overall, we subsequently replaced most of the required items as we've learned more.

The briefcase seems standard.

might be a goodwill gift since they made a mess of the trailer when they built it

They owe Flyfisher a lot more than that cheap bag of goodies that we all got.

Now what would make it right? Hmmm...Maybe a nice bottle of Patrone or Johnnie Walker would do. Or maybe...

Check the bathroom. Isn't that the proper place for the magazine rack?

You're right! I just checked and I even got 2 of them! My wife mistakenly thought they were soap dishes. They're kinda small though, don't you think?

Ours is where you expected - just inside the door on the left on the kitchen cabinet.

I'm going off thread again, but this is somewhat connected. Where can you find AS acessories to purchase? I've gone on the "store" on the AS site, but find very little of what I want. Do they produce a catalog? Can the magazine racks be purchased? I'd like a couple more of them to hang on the inside bedroom wall to contain the brochures, maps, and other printed litter that clutters us up on vacation. Would the bedroom wall support these? It backs onto the center bath (shower stall and sink areas). Also, I'd like a spice rack to hang in the galley, I guess in the stove area. I can see several holes in the vinyl wall covering that look like one hung here previously. Finally, where are you placing paper towel holders? Hanging them under the galley cabinets? We don't have generous counter top space to set a holder. Thanks for your tips.

Make your own magazine racks

My Classic 25 had a small rack, I moved it to the bedroom and made a rack out of red oak from Lowe's. twice as wide as the original and a lot cheaper than I bet Airstream would charge.
