2005 Classic Ltd 34 S/O

With the new found love of dry camping Im making some improvements on the 34 S/O. Heavy brake maintenance recently brought me to realize that only 3 of the 6 brakes were working. While I was cleaning the brakes and repacking the bearings I found 2 brakes on the right side with broken wires going to the magnets and one bad magnet on the left side. I havent really used the trailer in about 5 years ( playing around with the 370 LE to much) I also bought 7 new tires..the previous ones I bought were in 2011 and they were 09s. I also had to replace the converter, the original one was shot. I went with a 75 amp unit, with 2 deep cycle Exide group 27 batteries. I installed 2 new 12 volt/110 volt TVs with built in DVD Players. Im also going to install an inverter under the couch and run a new 110 line underneath up the side wall above the kitchen counter for my coffee maker. We use a Honda 3000 but cant usually use it until 9:00 AM (generator hours). Over the winter Im going to install a washer/dryer in the rear half of the curbside closet. More to follow, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

A great trip to Cooperstown NY for the Columbus Day weekend then to north/south lake campground in Hunter, NY for the following week. Time to get serious now with the upgrades. Im going to install the new washer/dryer in the rear section of the closet and the 2, 5 gallon fresh water jugs in the front of the closet. Im building a new platform from 3/4 material to support the washer/dryer and 2, 5 gallon jugs about 270 lbs. Im also lowering the closet floor about 6, the 2 storage compartments in the floor of the closet are pretty much useless if you store anything there anyway. Im replacing both inner and outer skylights due to fading over the years and yellowing of the interior trim. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

Love the pictures. Your under couch looks very similar to ours (2012). I never liked the battery compartments so when I upgraded to AGM, I removed those. I put 4 AGM's under the couch and put diamond plate on the front of the trailer to help in covering the holes from the compartments.

Im getting the 3/4 plywood base all cut up to fit into the closet. It will be framed underneath with 2x 6 structural wood to support the washer/dryer, and the (2) 5 gallon jugs for the fresh water drinking system. I have to wait till the washer/dryer arrives to determine the height of the support base. I want to lower it as much as possible to increase storage room in the closet. Unlike the 370LE where I had to cut through a main wall support for the dryer vent, the 34 Classic S/O has plenty of spacing between the supports so that will not be a concern. Still moving forward with the washer/dryer install, the base is already to go and get its covering on. I really had to reinforce the underside to hold the weight of the washer/dryer, the water in the washer/dryer, the 2 (5) gallon jugs of drinking water, and other cargo that might be stored on the platform. The new plumbing is roughed in and I received the new kitchen faucet which Ill get installed this coming week. Regards, Bob Click image for larger version

The finished sink projectsame set up as the 370LE, so the second time around was a little easier..you know the saying.the faucet is made for the sink, but the sink is not made for the faucet. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

I got the support panel for the washer/dryer, water bottle set-up yesterday, the covering came out really well. I installed (5) riv nuts into the interior aluminum skin for a little extra support on the back wall. I will test the water system for leaks on Sunday before I make the final install.
