She is on the landoll headed this way.
Never been this excited about something in this bad of condition before.
Actually can't wait to start gutting, it sat for almost 40 years but now seems urgent because it belongs to me. There must be a medication for that.

Darkspeed there is no cure for aluminitus. Once you contract the disease you have it for life. The only thing that helps is another dose.
Some day soon you'll be an OMAR (owner of multiple airstreams).
I have three now, none of which are operational and am still looking for more. All my friends and customers are telling me where they spot one for me to go look at.
P.S. congrats on that recovery, that was one heck of a rescue.

Mr. Dark.... Q. Is it a 1971 or 72 Sovereign? If its a 72, you should move on over with Minno and I, and maintain a start to finish next to us. If its a 71, it will be fun to watch you go thru the process where you are now. What a great start of a Thread! Good luck my friend, we all hope we learn something new from you.
P.S. I was lucky, (I think), that the rear end seperation repair, was done by the PO, on Rita. So, for me its very interesting to see that part of the restore performed.

That airstream just won the lottery... It's a lucky duck!
Maybe throw a tarp over it and bomb it with bugs be dead before you start crawling around.. I hate to think what you are going to find.
It might have teeth!

Well yes I did that!
First week I evicted the animals , second week I entered the trailer and was suddenly covered in fleas. Luckily I had an open gallon of windex which I poured down my pants before the attack went south. Then came the excess of bug bombs mostly out of feeling of revenge.
Now I'm scrubbing green , brown , and orange moss off the skin - hope none are protected in fla.

Hey Darkspeed your Sovereign was at one time owned by a member of the WBCCI (Wally Byam Caravan Club International. The shadow of the members number is on the front # 16202. If you go to this thread and ask Joe the club historian he will once he has some spare time tell you the history of the member and maybe even your trailer.

Darkspeed,
That is a nice rescue! It looks like it will clean up very nicely. The shell looks just wonderful. The interior looks to be in great shape too. She looks just like my Abby, but a tad longer. Nice work! Keep it up!

Thanks everyone!
Lots of scrubbing :/
I started removing the interior.
Everything is there - it's nasty - but it's there. Anyone want anything?
Everything on the inside will be new so I don't need any of it.

Darkspeed,
If you are getting rid of everything, I'd love to have those cutting board inserts for the sink if you don't mind.
