Thanks Airslide,

As my first AS build I did not want to do any sacrilegious modifications to an AS that had any real value, so I figured if I started with a terminal AS all would in one way or another be forgiven

Dude. It's like giving CPR to s dead body... You really can't mess up. They're dead you can only help them. Happy grinding drilling pulling yelling hacking sawing rivoting dreaming screaming and smiling! Your doing a great work on the mother- ship! Cheers Ted

Had a few days down time so doing more frame design. Have been reading the Dexter application and design info and have decided to weld the side mount hanger to the bottom of the structural tubing.

Re positioned the AS to get some sawhorses beside it to lift the shell. Plan to attach the shell to the side of my out building for the time it is off the frame so if we have any high winds it wont roll away.

The plan at the moment is 40g black , 40g grey , ? x 21g fresh.

My frame rail is taller than the factory which will allow room for lower compartments where the outriggers would have been. Two of these lower bays will be for battery capacity and as a result offset the center of gravity change because of the slightly higher frame rail.

Your trailer came with a 50 gallon fresh tank. Why would you want to reduce it to 21 gallons?
It's better to go with more grey capacity than black as you will use more water in the grey system than the black unless you have some sort of bladder or intestinal problems.LOL

Chris, he wrote "? x 21g fresh" so I took from that he will put in more than one 21 gallon fresh tank.

Im going with 5x or 6x 21gallon tank - dont know yet as I am still balancing the design.

Im on the fence about a second 40g grey tank in the system . maybe i should just do it..

The goal was not to have one big tank so their is no major momentum if the fresh tanks are not full

Need to order exterior lights....

Thinking of replacing the reflectors with real running lights and a strip of DOT reflecto tape below them just for good measure. I like looking back at night and seeing my position with a light rather than just a reflector.

1x License plate light - VTS - VTS145
11x Amber running light - SBL - M12PC-A6
7x Red running light - SBL - M12PC-R6
1x Scare Light - LED4RV - 48x68BW80423C
2x Clear tail light - SBL - ST-W30
2x Red tail light - SBL - STR-61
2x Red tail reflector - VTS - VTS-332

VTS - Vintage Trailer Supply
SBL - SuperBrightLeds.com
LED4RV

Are you giving any consideration to weight. 105 gallons of water weighs 840 lbs and 126 gallons weighs a whopping 1008 lbs. That's alot of weight to be pulling around even if you beef up the frame to handle it. It will also add 84 to 100.8 lbs to the tongue weight of the trailer. You will need a very heavy TV and a lot of fuel too.
Used conservatively 50 gallons of fresh water can last over a week. When I used mine solo I could go two weeks on one 50 gallon tank.

Yes, the plan was to be able to fill them in pairs. So once on site I could fill 2 tanks / or 4 tanks / etc.. depending on what was needed

I would rather have the capacity and not use it, than need it and not have it.

Those are some wild water stats. I guess I realize I was pretty conservative with my one 12 gallon tank for my bubble! I like to shower at the campground, in the river and drink wheat based nectar over water. But what our friend here is building is most definitely the mother ship. fun to watch Cheers. Ted

Due to evolutionary cutbacks, the belly band termite has been phased out..

While the giant creepy belly band spider program moves forward

Well she is down to just a few rivets holding the cabin to the deck..

1971 must have been pre-drug testing at AS... There are random rivets of various types and then a row of five or so holes where rivets should have been every so often working my way around the belly band, then places where the row of rivets did not land the layer of skin behind them...

Some evil disco dancing sob wrapped the belly skin up under the side skin high enough to get (hidden) riveted to the ribs in a number of places for and aft of the wheel wells.
grrrrrr....
