Thanks Rex, I appreciate the offer but at the moment my goal is to go all electric and power it with a combination of solar and a small generator to back it up.

I am building this as a full timer so I have a place to live while I build my house. Hope I still want to build my house when the AS is done :|

Rex,

Is it a oven stove combo or a stand alone oven? I already have a Smev cooktop and would like a separate oven unit.

Wow...

May the Force be with you....

This looks like "one of those threads.." Just know that lots of us are reading, empathizing, and hoping to transmit the will to keep going, as the project gets more and more complicated...

A friend of mine taught me (well, he tried to teach me...) that even the largest and most complicated job can be broken down into bite-sized pieces and finished eventually... Coupled with your perspective on changing the state of the Universe 1 rivet at a time ( or 1 dead critter..) we will continue to look forward to updates, and to refreshing motivation....

I believe the complete universal toolkit includes:

1. Cowbell
2. Duct Tape
3. A "larger" hammer
4. WD-40
5. Bungee Cords
6. Hacksaw
7. A really large pair of Vice Grips
8. Some Gorilla Glue and Super Glue
9. A couple deck screws
10. Bandages....

Cheers!

I like to call #3 (8 lb sledge) "the convincer".
And #11 a case of silicon

You might need to cross train with some Jedi training and "use the force" for the silver falcon.

Cheers friends. Ted

wait, so how did you manage to get the airstream from the park? i mean, who owned it previously... and how did it end up in a state park? did you just ask the rangers.. "hey can i have that?" did you buy it from someone? and they let you cut trees down?

very curious.

Your wheel wells, are they in good shape? Are the interior walls sticky, (plasticizer migaration)?

Wheel wells are perfect and no sticky walls- I do plan to strip the vinyl and see if the aluminum skin is presentable.
