Thanks Kristen! I agree, here in the north I want all the light I can get! The wood trim looks nice.

How in the world are you going to keep that couch clean with three dogs

(Okay guys, this is a gratuitous use of two pretty girls trying to break a maxim skylight. This is as good as this post is going to get so if you stop reading after watching this I understand! Totally....just saying....)

You mean that wasn't you & your sister???? Your "astrodome" looks fabulous! Are you going to make some kind of shade for those mornings you want to sleep in? Or maybe you're not the sleeping in type! Looks great, Shelly!

Becky,

Not me and sis! although I do wield a pretty mean hammer, rarely in high heels tho

Yep, I'll rig some kind of cover, also to keep heat out if necessary... I'm a late night owl so I do like to sleep later if I get the chance.

Just went outside with a ladder and pushed 8 inches of snow off the roof of Moonraker, really wishing I had pushed to get those interior skins back in.. It's going to be a long winter ....

Hubby's in India on business enjoying the warmth, I'm thinking he had the right idea

I agree. I spent the day in insulated overalls drilling rivets. Dang that aluminum hurts when it's cold. At least last week we started to get more daylight in the afternoon.

OH! I just went outside and closed the windows on my '66 Overlander. It was such a beautiful day I couldn't resist spending some time piddling around! Got so warm inside I had to open the windows! But I did resist turning on the AC.
HO HO HO! Merry Christmas!

Well I can bundle up and be warm, but I can't outrun a gator ..... All in all I'd rather be here!

Rethinking that last statement..... Spent last night getting the snow of the roof of my house, the airstream, the walkways and decks.....then had to help dig my neighbors car out of his driveway, I'm exhausted.

Sure is pretty out there today tho....

The reflection of that beauty should melt ALL the snow around it! I hate winter.....living right by Lake Michigan is a plus in the summer, but gives us a lot of snow here too. Leaving on a jet plane in a few weeks for WARM! Global warming....not here either!

Wow! It's absolutely beautiful there with that shiny baby sitting in all that snow.
But if you ever want to get away, come on down to Florida. Only Gator at my house is me, a proud University of Florida Alumni! Merry Christmas!

Hi Shelly
I feel your pain...yes...actual snow shovelling kind of pain. Now with two aluminum (Airstream) lawn ornaments, a flatbed trailer, and two neighbors unable to shovel we are experiencing the warm glow of giving of our labours.
I have a tractor but don't fire it up unless the storm is "Tractor Worthy" and the last two qualified. Unfortunatley it does not leave the ground.

Maybe there with be a snow removal flying drone available in the near future?

Managed to open the door again today, after thawing it with a hair dryer for 15 minutes.

I did try to get some of the strips of foam up but the glue won't work in the temps we are having.

The good news is that I'm getting a lot of household stuff done and out of the way before Spring. Today's jobs were repairing a large ceiling hole (water damage from ice dams) and rewiring a chandelier that went up in a puff of smoke. Never a lack of things to do around here

I'll get back to it shortly

While you took that picture, Shelly, I took this one at the Southernmost part of the continental US. We still think alike, nice sunsets, making the best of things....only my idea of the best of things is fleeing to warmth! Too bad I came home to negative temps!Click image for larger version
