Marc......you're the best......bacon man! And I'm ready.....cuz I only get it once a year at BB!@! And I'll do "Mona's Kickboxing" or whatever the exercise of the day may be..........Jonathan better have his camera ready (and Marc have your ERU emergency resusitation unit ready)!
I wonder whether we should ask any of the (non-forum) WB members that attended last year?????? As far as I'm concerned.......they (joyce parker of the OR Unit) just tried to recruit new members (remember Chris??). The only ones that I'd like to see back (from the original BB1) are Francis (who can't attend), Anita (and her sister in Eugene jbt)........where are you???, and Anette (don't you have any friends you can visit in Newport) ......who is in Tubac, AZ with her 75 TW. I could ask some of the Western Oregon Unit members......but I haven't attended any of our rallys this year!
Any input on this request would be appreciated!!
And of course......"Summerkid".......you're welcome anytime.........it would be great to see you (in person)!

The OR unit members already know about it, it was in the newsletter. Most of them are heading to Idaho for the Jazz Festival that same weekend. Annie and Wynn Chappel are coming though. I've been pestering them to come enjoy a forum rally for a while now. They're one of the other younger couples in the club that have been 'rallying' for more informal rallys

Great ! Let us know when to expect you. Timing is everything.

Thank you!
Janet, just got my packet in the mail today. Looking at all the brochures made me want to pack up and head down there NOW. Thanks so much for putting all that together!

I figure we have about 16lbs of bacon coming, let's do the math.
16 lbs uncooked bacon figure about 45% rendering to grease = 8.8 lbs of cooked bacon and 7.2 lbs of grease should be about a gallon of grease. If we figure 30 trailers with an average of 2 people per trailer, -2 vegetarians that gives us 58 people to feed. That gives each person .151724137931034482 lbs of bacon, give or take a bit, we're not being exact here. I figure 15 rashers per pound of bacon or 0.0625lbs per rasher = approximately 2.427586206896551712 rashers per person. What do you think is that enough?
Sincerely yours
Bored in Spokane.

I know there's no official schedule during the rally.........but for those of us who want to offer "trailer tours" or see other trailers, maybe we should schedule an "unofficial time" to do that!!?? Some suggestions would be 1)after breakfast Saturday morning (say 9-10) 2)before dinner Saturday nite (say 5-6), or 3)Sunday morning after breakfast. Any suggestions?
BTW.......Looks like we'll all get our "bacon fix" for this rally!

Powered by Bacon
"Powered by Bacon" Sounds like we're gonna get to sample some real good bacon. Maybe this could go somewhere. How about the "Beverly Beach Bacon Bash IV" with prizes for the best bacon, the most unusual bacon, most smokey... How about a sponsorship from the American Bacon Producers Association.
I think Marc is going to be busy and will need some help.
Wasco-Bob please make sure you bring your griddle for what appears to be a "Bacon Bash Breakfast" My mouth is watering already.
Jim, I would vote for a couple of hours before the Saturday evening feast.

Borrow Rivet Shaver?
Hi Gang,
I'll be attending the rally and look forward to meeting everyone.
I was wondering if I could borrow a Rivet Shaver during this outting? I have about 12 rivets to shave and thought someone may have one, bring it along and show me how to use it.
Thanks
Karen

hi marc....
yep that's me...
they require less space than airstreams...
i stopped counting at 500...
what would she like to try?
i'm happy to bring some....they don't take much space.
i've got a varied lot from 1900s to current.
common and obscure brands; domestic or international?
how about some 60 year old ink...
i can pack it with the bacon...
if i don't drink it all on the trip out!
cheers

java for youba!
ok bashers....
it is proven with absolute ality that coffee,
when properly made,
and consumed concurrently,
removes all the harmful effects of bacon...
so more bacon can be consumed...
providing the coffee holds out,
and so on, 4 eternity.
i'll be bringing the finest locally made stuff for a good many folks...
(30 cans or so)
but i need a quick bit of feed back...
WHOLE BEAN or ground.
i never leave the house without a grinder but realize not everyone is that prepared....
since the beans will be roasted and packaged wednesday...
who wants what?
GOT GRINDER? would be the advertisement,
with a dark stash of bean froth/creama... on the upper lip, like milk.
if i don't drink it all on the way out
cheers
