My crystal ball can't see that far out...
Yes, I know it's still one more week...I meant to say IF it were this weekend, we'd use the tarps for shade!
Whatever the weather, I know we'll have fun.
My crystal ball is available on-line:

Cool! Entertainment!
Seriously, ask for help when you get there, if you need it. We'll make flashlight landing strip for you. It's tough to negotiate strange parking after dark, but you won't be the only one doing it....

are being filled every nite right now, even week nights..

Hi 2air, I wonder what they are talking about. I just reserved my site for an extra night, no problem. Did you try doing it over the internet ?
I have an idea for a fun or funny event. It is kinda off the wall but, what if we had a blue tote foot race ?
Mark talking about taking his blue tote to the dump station every morning gave me the idea.
Just a thought

Ahh Haa !! Helps IF I actually read your whole post !
Well Gary, I was thinking something a bit less than 1/2 mile .
Something like a 50yd. Blue tote dash ? We could make it really interesting and fill it with some other than water. Oh yea, did I mention that the tote would be full with water of course ? Saturday afternoon before the visiting hours start ? I could have a sign up sheet at the rally. If we get enough sign ups it'll happen !

The totes have to be full of something other than water, and uncapped (as encouragement not to slosh)

tote race sounds like alot of fun. We are learning how small the holding tanks are!!! no long showers without sewer. Thanks for the offer of running lights for our backing up. Nothing is more entertaining than watching someone else backing into a site. Kind of like Robin Williams in RV.

Tote races! We obviously will have to have several entry classes. 10 gal, 20 gal and ???
How about 3 legged tote races?
Tote slalom?
There is a creek.... how about a tote float?
Pin the tail on the tote? (uncapped, full, would be easiest to find..)
How about tote decorating contest?
Will the tote races have teams? Team numbers on the sides of totes? A tote pit (or dump) crew? How many over the wall allowed at once? Maybe we could arrange sponsorships? S'pose Sutton RV in Eugene would like to sponsor a team? How about a factory team - with team shirts!
I'm in!

ah ha!
Will this be a relay event? I better bring my new, carbon fiber cased, light alloy rimmed, skateboard bearing wheeled "monster" tote. I'll be the ringer for the event!
You know, if you fun fast enough, the water doesn't "slosh" out, it just puts down a straight line! Even better! Fill them with white gas, and light the stream as we run! That'll make everyone run faster!
Think Ranger Johnathan is going to mind?

Chris...
Are you going to have any restrictions on modified totes? Or is anything fair game! Will there be a class for modifieds? What kind of mods are acceptable? Bearings (see last post), larger wheels, motors, air lift - like a hovercraft, special lubes...?

Oh my, now look what I started . Well I was thinking just using one tote and do it by time. Then I realised that would take forever if there were a lot of people doing it.
So what I suggest is who ever wants to participate get their tote, bring it to the starting line and have one race.
100 yds or so ?
The tank must be full of water.
No modified totes
No classes
Just you and your full tote !
You can get sponsors if you want to .
What do ya think Janet ?
The Ocean is close by we could go tote surfing ?
How in the world would you do a three legged tote race ?
Marc, I like the white gas idea. CC would totally go for it.

Okay Chris,
What are the rules for those of us who are "seniors"???? Do we get a handicap? It might just take us a looooooooong while.... Anyone making a map route for the totes? How about water and muchies along the route? Our tote is pretty little... but still really heavy when full.... can we hook them to our trucks and drive the route?
Looking forward to seeing everyone! Went to the NorCal Rally ~ it was quite good. The Sheriff came... so at BB we have a lot to measure up to!
See you there!

I got sponsorship!
Marc .. aka "The Bomb(s)" just got sponsorship! Stand back boys, the "Better Grey than Black - Blue Thunder" just got big bucks from none other than Airstream of Spokane!
Press release:
"This tremendous deal with Airstream of Spokane is allowing us to fast track construction of the AoS windtunnel... Developement of the new Blue Thunder containment system is well underway." says Bomb(s).
- "I know the competition smells bad... we've got to be better... or sweeter."
Blue Thunder is getting ready to load on the transporter.
Are you ready? I can almost smell (pee yuuu!) the victory!

Well Cr p ! Now I guess you're going to to a test track and work out the kinks/bugs prior to race day.....
reminder: when testing full totes in wind tunnel - stand upwind of the test specimen. Thanks to AS of Spokane - cool folks.

Say,
Why don't ya'll do a blue tote luge, or whatever the facedown/headfirst version is? (Skeleton?) Any hills nearby? No pre-race training needed, old and young have equal chance, etc.
I can't be there but would love to see the photos
