Really curious about what sort of free toy would be included in a box of bacon strip bandages!

Cool - do the vegetarians get to use them on the bacon eaters?

Veggies....
we could grill some asparigus (sp) for breakfast... or eggplant - or anything!
Mamma always told me to eat my greenstuff!
Honestly - if you want to be first on the grill - just give me what you want to grill in the morning and it'll be done.

Thanks Marc! I may just have to bring a fun alternative to eat. I am in no way worried about starving, though! My main focus that morning will be coffee, so I'll be alert to administer first aid to those attempting complex kickboxing moves...

I'm sorry - but I just have to object. Veggies do not go with French toast - most especially asparagus. How about some fresh fruit? I AM a vegetarian and even I do not eat broccoli for breakfast. I would be willing to pick up some meat free sausage like product to go with the bacon.... and get free range eggs and qhole grain bread .....but I draw the line at lima beans with my coffee
fried okra might be good though.....

So maybe we can have a get together in Leavenworth on the Icicle in Late Sept/early Oct. There is always some sort of festival going on like Autumn Leaf or Octoberfest and the weather will be perfect for hiking. Mmmmm brats, saurkraut, and beer.

Hi Kathleen, Well thats bad and great news.
Bad that you have to cancel and you three will be missed. ( uh, I mean 4 incl the AS )
Great that you get to perform in a play !
When where you thinking of organizing a rally in September. I have time off towards the end of the month in September. Start a thread and see if ya can brew some interest. I have never heard of the "Icicle" ?
Your Thoughts ?

I totally missed this post. Sorry you won't be able to make it! We chose end of October because our theater company is doing it's last play in mid-october, gives us one weekend to clean up and catch up, and then there's the rally. Last year we didn't give ourselves that extra weekend after the play, and so we ended up leaving BB early Saturday morning to get home in time for the cast party (because I figure the cast party is the best part of the play - you do all the work, you ought to have a little fun). Anyway, break a leg, and we'll catch you at the next rally!

Chris, the Icicle River area is just west of Leavenworth. There a 3 or so campgrounds along the river, lots of great hiking, but no hook ups. We think it is a glorious get away, but then again its only 40 miles from us.
I will start a thread within the week.

Words from the wagon mistress:
Ahem.....
Bashers, (that's tech talk for rally attendees) If you haven't already done so, can you PM me with your mailing address? I have confirmation info to send you as well as nifty tourist info. Please don't post your info online - just drop me a note.
and campcollector.... can I get my own key to that shower room with the heated floor.....?

Janet (oh benevolent and talented wagonmistress),
Save the postage......... for us it's just a hop-skip-and-jump from our home and we know the area well already! We'll probably arrive Thursday (with our own reservations on that day)....unless there's info that we need to check in .... by all means send us the necessaries. I think you already have our payment and address.
Thanks!

Janet, Any spaces left? I've taken the Tradewind off the classifieds and Craigslist because of the dumb responses and lack of lookers I've been getting. So, I'd like to bring it to the rally where people can see it and I can enjoy it. PM or email me with payment instructions. Thanks, Darol

Tommorrow I'll drop info packets in the mail - if you haven't PM'd me your address you won't get one.... (you know who you are...)
But - here's part of what is being mailed - print it on legal - landscape.
Any bets on how much bacon will be eaten this year? I"m picking 16.5 lbs.

How's this for timing? Since I'll be flying into Seattle with the b'friend on Oct. 20 & driving an 8-day loop that includes 2 nights in Leavenworth & 2 on the Oregon coast, I may be able to see "Sally" on stage AND the folks at Beverly Beach. That would make BB my 4th forum rally but only my 2nd without a trailer.

Piggie little Piggie....
16.5 pounds! That's a whole piggie!
Just a side note, that's Pilates, not yoga that Mona does.... I'm not sure, it still bends me funny!
Seriously - I'm excited for the fun! Should we bring Pumpkins for a contest?

Marc - last time you cooked more than 11 lbs.... we've got more folks this time. So - stands to reason - more bacon.
