South East Spring 2007 Photo Rally

Several people have mentioned that they would like to take part in a photo rally, but can not for one reason or another make it to the one planned for the north rim of the Grand Canyon this spring. Several have mentioned that something in the south east (KY-TN) would work, so I thought I would start a new thread toward that end.

I guess the thing to do is brainstorm locations and dates. As far as location goes, it needs to have abundant photo oportunities and adequate camping near by. As to when I would propose late April - mid May. I think there was some mention of a North Georgia rally we would want to avoid cramping as a well.

Have 4 x 5 will travel.... within reason.... I'm always looking for opportunities. I'll have my camera at the Springstream Ralley. As I take a longer time to set up than the average 35mm or digital shooter my focus (pun intended) can be different than others.

How about cades cove? If all goes well ( i.e. multiple family issues dont explode) I will be there most of the first week of April photographing bears...
