Some guys build super neat drawers for their cabinets. Some guys like me go to Walmart and buy a plastic bin that fits in the cabinet. Then you just pull out the plastic bin and dig the right color socks out if it. The plastic bins are also handy for packing and loading for a trip. Airstream used a lot of these over the years. My 66 had them, so does my 75, and so does our 86.
Just a thought for the under bed storage...

PS: Love all the ducks in a row.

Louvers
Islandtrader needed a louvered panel to go over a heat source . This is what I fabricated up . Need to sand the corners still . Used my polisher to clean up the scratches , think he’s going to scotch bright it . So only polished up scratches .
Now back on my Airstream.

Slowly
Well I got the face frame and wall of the curb side closet built and started painting this morn . I learned from the last piece I did that I needed to seal it better this time . I put two coats of seal and sand on before I put two coats of one part PPG auto paint on . Will go back out and put another two coats on before I go to bed . I am putting on enough to make it as hard as a car . This is the panel that your feet go against in the twin bed .
Five more panels and I will have the curb side done except for the doors . Thinking of doing something a little different on them when I make them .?

Nothing better than having your own paint booth and the skills to use it. You're kinda amazing.

I’m following your progress with keen interest. Didn’t you paint all your bathroom plastic? I have the same job ahead of me and would like to pick your brain as I follow behind you.
You’re doing an amazing job!!

No paint booth just a one car part of my shop that I put plastic up in . There’s nothing to painting , you just have to put in the time . Prep is the hardest .
Yes I painted the bath , wasn’t hard just a lot of steps . Thanks for all the nice words . Blue

So you built a mini spray booth. Is that an exhaust vent that I see connected to it?

No that’s the area that doesn’t have compleat coverage with the plastic . Try not to spray that area .. The duct you see is my hvac duct line that covers part of the up stairs . The silver 4” is the dryer vent and the box above that is my demand hot water heater . No pilot so it’s safe until some one turns on the hot water . Soon as the paint flashes I open up the bottom of the garage door , right behind the plastic, put a fan in the door opening and the stink is gone .
The plastic has a 12’ piece of pvc screwed on the bottom and plastic is stapled at the top . Just roll up the cover and all done . I change the plastic once a year .

Blue, you’ve made great progress since we last talked. We waved to you today at the Alpine exit on I-10. We just got home from the Pismo Beach Vintage Rally in Ca. We put over 3000 miles on the 55. People thought your light fixture was impressive. Now to work a few bugs out.

And equally important it will allow the fridge to draw fresh air into the lower sealed rear cabinet and exhaust the heated air out the chimney. No more big hole needed in the floor and belly pan like my trailer had.
At least I think that is what the louvered cover is for.

Louvers
I really like the louvers you are making. They look nicer and appear to be easier to clean than the originals. Kinda makes me want my own louver punch, just for fun.

Well the last 3 days I have been working on the bulkhead that separates the oven/refrigerator and bed area . I opened it up a little . Had it in and out 4 times . I took some hardwood and wrapped the edges so you could not see the plywood . I used some epoxy and some body filler and just about have it ready for paint on top of the high build primer . Wanted it smooth and I’m almost there
