I used a similar automotive paint designed for plastics. I don't have spray painting skills or equipment like you have; a local body shop painted my parts.
You picked a classic 60s color. It will keep your trailer vintage looking. My former 66 Trade Wind had bath parts in a teal green color. I like it.
And I like your "busy" shop. There have been a lot of projects completed there by the big fixer.

Nice you took a break in the huge home state of yours. Someday we will visit there too.
I'm glad you added the PS. You mentioned you lost the photos of the bath and I just kinda guessed you forgot which way the bath fixture are supposed to go.
It takes me a while to make up a ABS drain line. Measure, find fittings, cut pipe, glue together, find it doesn't fit, start over. Oh well.
My back is better and I have resumed light duty work after my three weeks of "lost time accident" workman's comp case. Boss is sorta happy to have me back to work and out of the house.

The photos are much better. Thanks.
So what will you do with that big picture window in your bath? I know why Airstream did this. Wally insisted on a see through trailer for safer towing with just a rear view mirror inside the tow vehicle. But little thought was given to the "see in" part of that equation. The last thing I need is a big picture window in my bathroom. Campers close by would scream in horror if they caught a glimpse of me stepping out of the shower.
I am seriously considering blocking my big rear window. It does have a pull down shade, but it ain't the prettiest one in the store.

Slowly so slowly.
Still finishing up the bath . I needed to hook up wires for hot water heater and ran t stat wires with it . Still need to drill holes for copper gas lines and hook them up . But first I need to insulate and put on bottom pan . This will have to wait till end of April as I have another trip coming up .
Having ADD as bad as I do , needed to put heater in place to run my T stat wires so while I’m doing that I put the fridge in place which naturally made me install the fridge vent .
Had to cut a little of the bottom of the new vent . It is much thicker than the broken up original. Got in place and will chuck it before putting rivets in .
Oh boy , all this to get the bath in . Also found all my original 1/4 panels to be in to bad of condition to use but will make a good pattern.
Onward through the fog . Blue

These Airstreams are quick to gut, but slow to reassemble.
Your new fridge vent looks very cool. I reused my old thin cracked one. I fixed the cracks and feel it will route the bad combustion air out of the trailer. My new fridge has a little 12v fan that kicks on at 85f that will certainly help move air up and out.
I thought I was the only Forums member with ADD. I call it walking around "butt first". But first I'll do this, no that, oh yeah, but first that over there. It does mess a guy up now and then.
Hang in there, your on the BIG fix. Really big! Like 1000 hours big.

THATS what drove me nuts sometimes when we were doing the trailer! We'd get to a certain point where I'd think we were ready to do something forward. Then he'd say, no we have to do this and this and this and this first, THEN we can do that! Seemed to take forever until we finally got the wiring, plumbing, and walls back in.
Then it went faster!

Did a horse step on your barefoot? Did you drop an anvil on it? I think you should take some time off and get that healed up. I hope it isn't fractured. You will get better soon I'm sure.

I’m back .
Just finished up some R&R and my foot is much better . While I was out of town I stopped by to see Bubba and his projects . Man was I impressed.
The conversation got around to an early Airstream light that goes over the sink . I had never seen one but Mr . B had a picture and made me a drawing. Didn’t have the same louvre dies but made one with what I had . Hope it will work for him .
Also stopped by one of our favorite watering holes while we were in Bubbas neighborhood.

Blue, your metal working skills are impressive. Thanks for bringing back such an unobtainable piece of Airstream history. Can’t wait to receive it and get it installed.
