Poco el poco
Well I’m getting the curb side done . Using some 1/4” auto welting on some areas for fit and squeak areas . Works good . The open spot in middle cabinet is for some electrical panel . Left it and the bed supports the original stain , matches the floor but most of all it breaks up all that white .
Need to repaint The sliding doors and build the frame work around the heater . Oh , and one more panel on the end next to the entrance door . And then........

Really enjoying watching the progress on this trailer, and am amazed at all the different skills you have!
What do you have planned for the counter tops?

Speaking of skills; I understand the Bonneville Salt Flats have 20 some inches of water on the salt. June testing days have been cancelled. Speed Week is in jeopardy. It is raining in the desert almost every day.
You'll have more time for your Overlander renovation.

The boats better by flat bottom "john" boats with water jet propulsion. Might be fun though. You are thinking outside the box.

Blue, very impressive metal working. I have a bead roller and I don't know how you did that with the tight corners. Or the round raised section surrounding the hole in the middle. Which rollers are you using?
Thanks, Mark

What is that they say , how do you get to Carnegie Hall - practice, practice, practice!
A lot to be said about that . What kind of roller do you have , and what dies .
Get one of Jamey Jordan cds on beadrolling . I learned a lot from him .
It’s not hard .
The photos are some art and a full interior of a model A . Good luck , have fun, Blue

Not only a craftsman, but an artist as well. I have the basic Eastwood manual roller and basic die set. Bought it to roll beads into some replacement floor boards I was building for a car restoration. I will get the Jamey Jordan DVD set as it does look like fun. Thanks, Mark

Need a bigger shop .
Well today I decided I needed to dig out some take apart supports for a table to build my face frames for some of the cabinets. Needed something flatter than the metal stands I’ve been using. Of coarse they were buried in the back of my shop .
I started this Airstream project a little over a year ago and I need to finish it up to get back on my COE . I really miss working on her . Besides it will be a TV for the stream to go to some car and MC shows . Of coarse I had to move every thing out of the shop and clean it while it was out . This is a comepleatly custom built truck that I started with only a cab .
Well got it all done and only took 8 hours . The completed photo of it done is my photoshop design.
Back to the Airstream in the morning.

There you go again thinking outside the box again. Your custom COE is going to be quite a rig. Who was the original manufacturer?
I went to the annual Denver area charity car show last Sunday. It is a sports car event, which are the cars I like best. None of the some 400 cars on display would tow your Airstream, or mine. But you might enjoy this Alfa 4C.

Blue, you’re making great progress. I didn’t realize you had bead rolling skills. I have a bead roller but don’t have a clue what it can actually do. We need to get out to Alpine and experience a short seminar. Say hello to Joy. Heading to Cloudcroft soon. We’ll wave at the Alpine exit. Take care

David the cab is a 42 gmc , the chassis is a 75 GMC that I stretched 24” and added air bag , 572 motor under the sleeper that I shortened and narrowed . Hand mad bed with 59 Dodge fenders that I lengthen. 59 and 42 dash cut up and fitted . Oh yes from the sleeper back the bed tilts up high and you can walk up to the motor to work on it .
Bubba , any time free lessons , and your always welcome.

Now back to the show !
Most of you know how and are better than me at building face frames . But for those that don’t here is my lesson on how I do them . There lots of ways other than mine but it works for me .
1 make a plan and cut your wood square and exact.
2 dry fit everything
3 drill your pocket holes for your screws. I use a Klegg block and bit on all my holes . The bit drill a hole in two sizes, one for the tip of the screw and another for the head to seat with . All recessed. This is on the back side of your wood where it will not show .
4 Have plenty of clamps , scrap wood for clamping and moving around , screw gun or drill motor and a square .
5 Glue for joint . Spread it around so there is just enough not to have too much squeeze out .
6 clamp the wood into position, check for square , and after making sure it is flat screw it togeather .
Use fine thread for hard wood and coarse for soft . Remove your clamping blocks soon in case you got squeeze out so the block does not become part of your cabinets.
7 Sand when dry the paint or stain .
This is probably not a good written communication on the process. But maybe the photos will help . Clamps are your friend . One photo shows my WMD s I used . Another shows the OM door that this frame will hold .
If you have questions fill free to ask . Have fun , after a while you will be Abel to build a nice strong frame . Just takes practice .
