Have a safe trip and a great time at Sturgis. It is a national event.
I'm told the salt at Bonneville is pretty good. There is still standing water in the campground at the bend. Bonneville is another great event.

If there is water standing at the bend , I would not amp there even if it dries out . I sunk a motor home there about 15/18 years ago . But would love to go but got to back and finish this up .

Really nice, Blue! The oak used for the countertop looks like it was quarter sawn. Nice design element indicative of vintage. For example, here is a quarter sawn oak door in Chicago’s Cultural Center (built in 1897).
If you are in the area most craftsman, like yourself, would enjoy the architecture.

I hope it was cooler up north. The Black Hills area is one of my favorites.
I'm not back at it. I'm cutting dead trees out of my woods. We call it wildfire mitigation up here. So many trees have died due to the pine beetle invasion.
Working, but not on the Overlander.

Blue, you sure hang with a young crowd judging from the picture. I’m sure you can see the light at the end of the tunnel on the AS even with your other projects. It’s hitting 100 here almost daily. Hard to get work done outside with this heat. Stay as cool as possible and keep up the good work. And say hello to Joy for us.

Did you use quarter sawn hardwood flooring for the top? I am thinking about doing that for my '68...?
Looks great !

Just went to a hardwood store and asked for quarter sawn cabinet grade . I was going to build a built in book cases in my study . These boards were left overs .

Just a tease !
Got a good start on my backsplash. About a third done , will do the other side then the top piece that goes above the window . That piece will include the bottom of the overhead cabinet as well as the built in vent-a-hood .
On a side note found this great LED work light from HF . On sale all the time . Bought two and will by two more . Best work light I have found yet for beadrolling.
Also all that Al. will be polished like chrome .

Yes , all work done by me . Thanks for the comments everyone .
Got the third panel fabled this morning. Put a quick polish job on it to compare to the mill finish on the Aluminum. Just done in medium polish , will get all the panels when done with three polishing. The next or top panel will need lots of fitting in the Airstream and it is HOT . So in the morning I will start the finish on the electrical so I can have AC and lights . Blue
