Well I was trimming down some of the old doors and found why they are so light . Filled with cardboard . Was worth a try .
Started yesterday doing a little late spring cleaning , moving everything around to get the Airstream in the carport next to the shop , much cooler. Moved a station wagon project , will be our tv for the AS. . Also moved the four post lift . Will finish up in the morning.Click image for larger version

Hello all, just purchased 1992 AS Excella 1000..plan on doing renovation to interior. It has a very musty smell. Was in storage for 2 years. My question is how do I know if I need to replace..almost afraid to find what behind them..Any suggestions appreciated.

1959 Nomad was a 4 door . 58-60 4 door . The 2 doors for those years were Brookwood.
It’s got a custom chassis already built with a 2” receiver hitch and progressive spring in the rear . It was my wife’s dream car . 2008 LS3 with a six speed .

I too noticed that was no 283 V8 in that 59.

How many complex projects can a guy handle all at once?

Progress ?

Well everything is moved and arranged. Set up my table saw under the fourpost lift . Other than that I did a little spray painting , primer , sealer and white paint . 7 Coates in all and only took 5 hours . Dry time and sanding added up to 7 hours . BlueClick image for larger version

Sold my truck camper today , so we get to eat this week !

Mounted all the painted parts from last time I posted . All but end panel is in place . Need to get the countertop done first . When I cleaned and moved everything I found some quarter sawn oak . Started planning it this afternoon . Made a lot of chips since I started with 5/4 thick wood . Anyway got one side done and will finish up tomorrow when my plane is cooler . Beautiful grain . Setting the stovetop and sink in place to get my measurements. The microwave is in place . Blue

Well I got all the oak planned , jointed , squared up , and glued . I did a fit up for the wall piece first and made sure it was even with the front , then added three more to make it 3/4” of over hang in the front . After it dries , I will sand it nice and flat and cut my holes for the sink and stove top .

Also sprayed some sealer on a couple of doors and another over bed cabinet .
Hope to get the galley cabinet done before I leave on a motorcycle trip next Friday .

Leave on a motorcycle trip? Let's see the first full week in August ?

Could it be you are heading for Sturgis ?

I’ve been stalking your posts! Great work. Just curious, where did you order your black and gray tanks? I’m about to drop my black and I’m thinking hard about installing a gray. Thanks for all your great post! You truly are passing on some great knowledge.

Good for you...over the years I have been 1/2 dozen times. I think my last time there was for the 50th! Thats the last ride pin that I can find. As far as the riding you are spot on. One day on main street just to see all the bikes and then head for the hills. Enjoy.

Counter top all sanded , holes cut for cooktop and sink . All trimmed and fitted . Put the first coat of stain on and will do second before I go to bed tonight. Love the way the stain makes the grain pop . Hope to start the clear tomorrow. Blue

Looking good. I gave thought to a natural wood countertop but the boss insisted on laminate. Oh well, I do what I'm told.

Got my third coat of poly on the countertop. I think it looks nice . Leaving for an antique MC show at Sturgis tomorrow after a couple of appointments. When I get back I will decide if I’m going to put some satin on or leave it shiny. Going to be putting a little something different on the backsplash and will decide if I want the reflection. I love the way the grain came out .
