Great photo of you on that vintage Harley in front of a vintage post office. Glad your rear paw is healing up nicely. And yes, very impressive sheet metal work on Bubba's galley light fixture. His 55 Airstream is hard to beat. Your 67 will be too.

I’m back at it .
Not much to show . Pulled the tail light wires through the conduit I put in the frame front to back . Wired in on rear side and tested . All OK .
Also bent up the copper line out of water heater to under the rig . Capped off bottom . Checked everything in bath area to see if I forgot anything before I install the original bath back in place .
Everything is a go . Got the tub and back piece in place . Will hook up the drain line out of the tub and should go pretty fast after that . Hope to have the bath done by next weekend. Blue

Good your healed back up and can hobble around your shop some. Pull wires here, bend propane lines there, fit the tub and hope for the best. It all takes time, especially me.
Now, what are those "door thingys" Bubba L sent you? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi there,
Your bath is looking great. The teal hue has personality. Hope you saved all the plastic that snaps onto the metal trim you've restored. I don't know if anyone has found replacement plastic that's similar.
If you don't mind, Since it appears that your bathtub wall is open, I have a question that you might have an opinion about. Referring to this picture, do you think that if there was a 4” deep VTS Holding tank (outlined in blue) installed in the bay just forward of the original black tank, does it appear that it could vent to the shower vent stack hidden in the pocket door wall? Seems to me that there's room in there for a connection (approximated by the red pipe) that would not interfere with the main frame rail?
There's so many hours hidden in the details of a craftsman's work.Your fabrication skills will ensure a very interesting travel trailer.

My bath extruded aluminum seam covers I call them were a mess. Still are. They are well perforated from us previous owners drilling out rivets, installing new rivets, and then doing it again. They are gold anodized which precludes polishing.
I did clean the stuff, and then deburr all the holes. I reinstalled the aluminum and then spent two days forcing the new hard rubber insert in the trim grooves. It was a cussing job, but I got it done. The white rubber molding covers a lot of the flaws in the aluminum seam covers.
Your a perfectionists. Your trim pieces look great.

What’s up .
Today I did some little stuff after I got back from town . The grill on the side of my tub looked bad . I think it was used for heat in 67 . None now but vents the area under it for air circulation. I made a new one today and louvres in it on my machine. I put a couple of pictures of my louvre machine to give you an idea of how big it is .
Also installed the medicine chest in and wired . Will get it screwed in when my lovely wife has time to help .
Would like to thank Bubba for the door thingy, or for you engineering type folks , a Suicide Door Safety Latch . Including some photos of it also .
To all my friends who have snow , it’s 97 here today and was hot in the Airstream. You can tell by my Rube Goldberg fan stand I don’t much care for the heat .
Anybody with a 67 like mine , I could use some photos of where the sliding door hits the cabinets . I could use all the area of the cabinets on both side next to the bath . I lost or erased mine .

Do all hot rodders have louver machines? I was looking for one of those as my 75 Overlander provides the fresh air for the fridge combustion through the floor. Most modern trailers provide combustion with a louvered access door at the base of the fridge, see photo of the wife's 86 Airstream. I've left the inlet vent through the floor for now.
It is 30f and snowing here. This has gotta stop! We hope to pull out on an Airstream adventure this weekend traveling over the Rockies. No snow or slick please.
I don't understand your question on the bath door. Here is the Airstream Inc
archive for 67 floor plans. But I can't see how the door works or where it is located
https://cdn.airstream.com/wp-content...rplans-227.pdf
And here are some photos of 67 Overlander interiors from the Vintage Airstream Resource. But again, I can't make out the bath door. There is a picture of the bath door closed in the last of the photo groups on the right side.

Boy you are sure making your new door thingy look good. I knew you would.

David , some of the high in fab shops have them . You have to do a lot of louvres to pay for them . Over 3000 just to break even .
Door thingy came just like that from Bubba. It’s made of mesquite with clear on top .

Chris found a hot rod shop in our area to louver our refrigerator access door. Our trailer originally had a solid access door, and a hole through the floor with screening over it in the access area for ventilation. Louvers came out a little funky, but you'd have to look very hard to see it. Hot rod shop said they wouldn't do it again - too hard for them!

I would love to have some louvre dies for my fridge air intake door. I’ll have to see if I can find someone locally. I have some here at work for our press brake but not sure if management will let me in to use use them with my retirement coming up.

louver envy
I home-made a louver punch. It made a reasonable 3/8" by 6" louver in .032 5056. Indexing the subsequent louvers was difficult with my hand-held, 4# hammer driven, hillbilly punch, but it worked.
I then paid an aircraft fab shop $100 to make twelve 1/2" by 5" louvers in an .040 5052 waterheater door that I made for 6gal Atwood.
The pocket door butts against the melamine face of the bath closet. Reply posted here...

If you need long louvres over 4” find a shop that has a Pullmax machine with louvre dies . The should be able to form any length and even do curved ones . Blue

Islandtrader , that’s a great price .
On your louvres ,I need the exact size of the hole and the measurements on the outside rivets. I have some .062 Al in stock but would be a couple of weeks before I can get some .032 . Email me a little drawing of the measurements and I will draw up a sketch of what I think what will make you happy . The state of Texas I put on the side is .062 .

All because of bathroom wall
So I decided the best way to determine where the wall should go was to install the upper cabinets over the twin bed .
Of coarse both of the curb pieces were broken and the plywood was dried up ,so I rebuilt both . I replaced all ply on the upper and sanded it good .
On the twin bed frame I only had to sand and strengthen the frame . It had doors on it that opened down . We are going to replace it with some drawers .
Painted inside of upper with latex . The rest of the paint is auto PPG paint .
I’m finely getting my ducks in a row . Blue

Well the white paint came out great except for the bottom of the overhead cabinet . Got some little roughness that felt like sand . Sanded it smooth and I am getting ready to reapply 2 more coats . I think what I got was reducer pop even though I primed and sealed the new ply . Reducer or thinker pop is caused by the top drying before all the reducer as aired out . Should know in about an hour . Keep your fingers crossed . Blue
