I'm really looking forward to the Divine Sacred Cactus Dance.

I understand that with the right silver spirits, in the light of the silver moon reflected off the shiny silver aluminum, the ceremony is quite impressive.

Just an FYI...
The authorities have requested that the howling be kept to a minimum so as not to excite the coyotes.

After atteding a wedding in Dallas, Visiting a son in Kansas city, and my sister in Nebraska, I arrived at the American RV Park (space 120)in Albuquerque. It's located just across I-40 to Camping World. Cool!

For the pot luck I am prepairing Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya in a Dutch Oven. I hope it turns out as well as in the past!!! The basic recipe is by Chef Emile who beat Bobby Flay in a "Throwdown" called "Best of the Bayou" Jim Clark, of the fourm, introduced me to the recipe.

Melvene and I have reservations on the morning flight with Rainbow Riders on the 8th.

Looking forward to meeting all of you

Hi Pop,
Thanks for sharing your intentions for the pot luck. Sounds good.

From the I-40 exit that you used to get where you are now, you can drive about 8 miles north on Paseo del Volcan to visit the Double Eagle Airport. Not a lot to see there except a bunch of small planes. You can drive about 9 miles east on Central (old Rt. 66) to see Old Town. The plaza is about 2 blocks NE of the intersection of Central and Rio Grande Blvd. On weekends, the peddlers layout their wares for sale on the sidewalk on the east side of the plaza. Lots of restaurants in that area plus art, natural history and the Atomic museums along Mountain Road. The latter gives some of the history of New Mexico's involvement with building and testing the A-bomb.

Way to go with your flight with Rainbow Riders! You will love it. The nearly unobstructed views are way better than peering out a little window on an airplane. If you happen to be bald like I am, be sure to wear a hat to protect your head from the heat of that huge propane burner a few feet over your head.

After we left you at meteor crater we stopped in Flagstaff at the Safeway store.After getting food and CHECKING out Min stopped to get the ice inside the store,she turnd her back on cart to pick up ice when she turd back cart was stolen and gone.

Lucky she had purse in hand.Tape showed indian going out with it ,they got away.

The beer in it was the drawing card.

Safeway very very nice about it replaced all items.

The Glock 40 cal and 12 gage shot gun NO HELP THIS TIME

The sun is setting on a crystal clear evening in Albuquerque - the wind has settled - current temp + - 75.

I can feel it - this is going to be a really special time. I feel fortunate to contribute to and be a part of this rally.

This old motor home has performed - it's come through. - I think it's as happy as me to be on the road once more. The big boxes blow by us as I hold 60. Strange, they seem to do it several times during a days travel. Now, as the sun sets, I suspect they are watching the twinkle lights embedded in their ceilings. I look forward to watching the twinkle lights in the sky.

Speaking of twinkle lights, there has been mention of Chaco in this thread, yes, the road is rough but to spend a night or two in the area is special. It's our next stop after the balloon fiesta.

Well, you might have guessed, I'm into margartia's at this point - the real thing - two parts Jose Cuervo - one part Cointreau - splash of fresh lime - a bit of sea salt on the rim.

We are very very lucky people

sorry folks, i san-it-ized my fresh water tank and lines earlier in the week, now i'm letting the tank take that long leak...

only to be filled w/ sweet water once again...

nothing worse than *ss water out on the range whilst boondocking don't ya know!

going to go back and smell the artificial butter flavoring on my favorite popcorn...

almost have the shirts packed!
