Fred - Ken is working on that information and should have it posted in the near future.

mr wee,
you know what's going to happen now don't you?
mr richard won't give you a copy of the cell phone list...
i think he's being overly officious...
when
he should just be overly beveraged...
but it's probably just as well,
keeps the chicks from calling you all the time; can't read the maps, yak and navigate... bothersome i know...
well
unless you had a GPS, hands free cell phone, frequency scanner, hemi dragging a dream stream AND a hot chick calling (better yet, one on hold over on line number two of the hands free cell phone)...
insert imagination here (i do it all the time)

Yes I am working on this.....I have been in contact with the Balloon folks and I know we can come in anytime after 8:00 am......however, she suggested that I go over to the grounds the week of the fiesta and meet with the folks who are going to be parking us and get things set up - for now I think we are safe to meet at noon - - - - I'm waiting for a call back from camping world to see if we can use their parking lot.It looks like we are Premium parking west - which is the location that I was hoping for - its right next to the museum. So now you all know what I know - we really need to stay tuned to this thread....I am getting sooooooooooooooo excited!Ken J.

I did hear back from camping world and we are set to meet there.
I'm going to plan on being there at 10:30 and will set an area aside for us to meet - look for a bunch of Airstreams when you arrive :-)
Unless I hear otherwise we will try to leave at noon to go to the Fiesta Park. It is best if we all arrive at the park at the same time -
Again, PLEASE stay tuned to this program for further updates - I will be meeting with the balloon folks earlier that week to do all I can to get us right in.
I know this may sound a bit tidious, but this is a very large event with tons of folks getting in and out of the place - RVs, vendors and of course balloon folks, so I'm going to do everything I can prior to your arrival to make sure we can jump in our vehicles and cruise right on in.

Mr. Wee,
I doubt your lack of electronic pain in the neck stuff will make this any less of a fiasco. These things usually go haywire anyway. Just keep your sense of adventure and humor nearby and you'll do fine and have a good time.

We're confident - and believe whatever happens can be handled.
We're on our way - and are happily camped at JC even as we speak. No cell signal, but great wi-fi.
Again, if any of you guys need a special delivery, I'll pick up whatever you need that they sell at JC. Of course, they won't sell me a finished unit, but misc parts are fair game.
Breakfast at Hobo's tomorrow.

So, like, Mr. Kevin, are you telling me that radios are also gender specific? It's all kinda confusing...got a 345 that I have to look at an angle to genderize, a peep parent that I can't genderize, and now I gotta worry about the radio...?

Aw heck,
Radios are easy..... just look for a couple of properly placed protrubances.... they should tell you everything!

Left Wisconsin on Tues and put on about 1200 miles in the last three days. Today was about 525 miles. We pulled into Tiger Run RV resort in Breckenridge CO about 8PM. Will spend a week here. Elevation of 10,000 ft. 40's tonight, 71 tomorrow. I'll attach a picture of the mountains tomorrow.

GREAT time of year to be in Breckenridge - you'll be in the middle of some great fall colors - although probably not at nice as Wisconsin - mostly one color - yellow.

The hike&bike path is across the street(Hwy) from the entry road...it follows the creek to Breckenridge and also heads the other way towards Frisco. You can also access the Colorado Trail from the backside of the resort. If you go down the main street in Breckenridge, look for this restaurant...

At the end of the day on Saturday, 10/06 the fiesta is providing some entertainment.
After the night glow,
After the firework show,
It's

Hmmm. Lots of hiking trails?
Maybe I'll reconsider bringing my Lab hiking buddy.
What did everyone else decide on the dog issue?
And the temps should be fairly mild by then?

the hiking trails
are in Colorado. We are bringing the menagerie, day temps are supposed to be low 70s--so fans should be enough. If it is iffy at all one of us will stay with the critters. The night temps are supposed to be in the 40's so morning exploring should not be a problem.

We are going to leave Gracie and Smokie at home. They are pretty big dogs (85 & 75 lbs) and need to run, this is not the best venue for that type of activity. Smokie is also afraid of all sorts of sounds and shapes, again not the best place to put her for 5 days. We have several people watching them and they also have full access to the yard via the dog door. We are bringing Bandit our older (15 1/2 years) and smaller (15 lbs) dog. She is totaly deaf and sleeps most of the day.
Jan has this fear that if we leave her at home, she will pass away while we are gone. If she passes on the trip, we will be looking for extra freezer room, we have a small fridge...

Richard,
Surely you gest.....if not, I recommend an ice chest as an addition to your gear. I for one will be routing for an extended life for Bandit.
