Jelly-Belly even makes a Pop-Corn flavored Jelly Bean. One of my favorites!

Bob has stellar credentials and many years of service in the WBCCI. I think the post "Who is Bob Thompson" really shows the level of commitment the region 1 president has and the degree that his integrity can be trusted. I want to read more when available. I support Bob and I want to hear what he has to say and offer. I have no doubt that this whistle blower issue is based on fact and it will move members to action concerned with real ethics.

All this bulls**t for a camping club. Somebody needs to get a life. We are glad we have a MH and belong to the FMCA. We were just getting ready to join the WBCCI again. Maybe we should put in the by-laws no ex military or school administrators can serve on the IBT. This seems to be where all the trouble is coming from.
Let me repeat(WE ARE AN AIRSTREAM CAMPING AND CARAVAN CLUB) no less, no more.

I don't see where "ex military" comes into play here.

If you are not a member now and have no intention of rejoining, where does all of this "WE" business come from?
Just need some clarification here.

bfred,
School Administrators? What does that have to do with anything? Did I miss an inside joke here? Maybe school administrators thought freedom of speech was a good idea and military people guarantee YOU have the right to an opinion and the ability to express it. Some of us dedicate our lives to make sure the next generation has the ability, education, desire and freedom to choose a better life and career. How about they ban retired crane operators?

Sounds like we have issues with authority figures. I sure do.
I say we exclude anyone with an i in their name. Tends to foster a sense of self importance.

chill people...
bfred claims to be BOTH former military and former school admin and former wb' ex-official type...
and has posted the same analysis in other silly wb' threads...
he feels this view is not only accurate, but that he is especially qualified to offer the analogy, given HIS background.
and as for the "we" part i think it's obvious that...
1. he was referencing the global WE as a/s owners....
2. there is a WHOLE LOT LESS we in the wb' each month...
i think it's a slow night here and it's sad folks are back in this quagmire thread....
BUT since we're here again...
I AGREE with fred,
but he left out the boy scout, home owners assos' , homophobic, church going, human zealots, involved at the top...
not that i'm a member of ANY of those groups...
what this sorryass club needs is about 5 rabbits at the TOP...
now only would we shuttle the book and streamline the entire club,
we would ALSO quickly reproduce and multiply, bringing in 100s of new long eared members in NO time...
just no military rabbits or school admin bunnies...
except for appointment to the sanitation committee
cheers

That's cool. However, I don't read every thread, much less every post and tend to take the literal interpretation, anyway. If it were a humorous or silly thread, I may have seen the humor. Suspension is not exactly humorous. Also, as "Airstream owners" "WE" do not have by-laws, an IBT nor an "AIRSTREAM CAMPING AND CARAVAN CLUB." Therefore, there is no other way to interpret that post.
I guess if I want to read something serious, I should search out some humorous threads or go to the FMCA Site/Forum....

You don't have to talk about ANYTHING if you don't want to. All you HAVE to do is bring your guitar and play.
As far as getting "off the hook," I don't know that anyone can nowadays for spouting off. I reckon you'll probably have to kiss some jackalope beehind first. I hear they can be pretty darned thin skinned though.

Oh, man! I'm all for the Jackalope!
Did I spout off? Sorry, just seeking clarification...
But, there is one rule (mine) that I will adhered to. I am NOT discussing club stuff around the campfire. "Hey, you. Got a problem? Take it INSIDE... inside your rig, that is!"
Nothing can dowse a campfire quicker...

I know my first reaction to hearing about the suspension of the region 1 president was a strong one!
Buck and Grace have been long standing members of the WBCCI. Why they even helped Save Wally making their no SOB motorhome statement clear. Who is Buck? Read it here http://savewally.org/what-about-./buck-grace.html
Unfortunately the attitudes of the IBT caused Buck to vote with his feet and not renew last year, leaving the Metro Detroit unit, my same former unit, and just when he thought it was safe to come back in the water-- POW--another issue guaranteed to sour folks again.
And if you think it is not enough of an issue to sour people just look back at the reaction of the current unit president of Metro Detroit.

I do not think I will be renewing my membership when it comes due...Sorry WBCCI, you lose.

Reading back further, Forest had mentioned the teaching and military credentials and background of some of the IBT in this thread and training in leadership. http://www.airforums.com/forums/show...&postcount=190

WOW! did I wake up this thread or what? Just for your information, there are very few retired crane operators belonging to the WBBCI and you're right, ban'em. As Carol and a couple of other people stated, I am ex-military and served on a school board for 14 years.
Look at the bio's of the present IBT and tell me I'm wrong. I also served in Nam and know about protecting freedom, etc except that wasn't the reason we were there.(can I say Shell Oil in the South China Sea).
I am anti authority when it comes to camping and having fun. I don't feel we need all this pomp and circumstance to have fun.
When you go to a FMCA national convention it's hard to find the officers MHs ,but you will find them serving food, parking MHs,seating people at the dining hall, driving shuttles and sitting with the general population during the evening entertainment.
For those of us that served in the military,WBCCI,IBT resembles the Joint Chiefs of Staff and their customs.
Everyone is welcome to disagree with me and I can take it, but take a long hard look at the WBCCI.
Everyone have a good day.
P.S. Carol you are right, we just saved $70.00 again.

Thank you bfred... for your service and everything else!
I don't disagree.
This helps put post 240 in context.
We were once told by an officer that if some members didn't like the way things were done, they could go join FMCA or Good Sam or some such thing. Little did he know at the moment he was saying that............
