Be more specific

The LA area is BIG. Runs from San Clemente to Oxnard and Palos Verdes to San Bernadino. It encompasses over 4000 Square miles. Could you narrow it down by saying within 25 miles of ?????.

Not only is the above true, but I think a lot of people don't really understand what LA traffic means. Pasadena to Santa Monica is 25 miles and should take around thirty minutes. However, it can easily take 2 to 3 hours. That is just one tiny example.

Also, LA *county* is larger in size than Rhode Island and Delaware combined.

I think it will be difficult, especially during the pandemic, to find long term RV parking anywhere convenient. Finding someone (a friend or acquaintance) with a parking spot or yard (not likely) is your best bet, but won't be easy!

Not many RV parks in LA.

There is one in Van Nuys near the airport.

There are Mobile Home parks scattered around so some time on the computer or phone would help your cause.

Would be helpful if we knew what area you will be working in. Much different deal between Santa Monica and San Dimas.

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.

We just came out of California, wife is a travel nurse, and we actually had to turn down contracts because a majority of RV parks don’t let you stay longer than 28 days to prevent people from declaring residency (You need to vacate for 3 days then you can come back).

We were only able to get into a park by signing a contract that says when her work contract starts and ends with our exact vacate day. You heading there for work by any chance? Some RV parks will make an exception to the 28 day rule but you may be surprised by how many don’t care and won’t work with you regardless of your travel desires.

Sometimes you can locate a RV space in a mobile home park, which will give you a longer than 28 day stay.

Take a look at the Lancaster/Palmdale area about an hour north of LA. My daughter lives in the Miracle Mile area of LA (near the LA Art Museum --- her apartment overlooks the Park LaBrea Towers), and when I go to see her, that's where I have found places to park the AS.

I lived in LA for 39 years and I can tell you there is no such thing as long term RV parking in the whole county. You're lucky if you can get a reservation for any of the county or state parks in the area, and they are all closed right now. If you can drive north to the Lancaster / Palmdale area the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds has an asphalt campground that is reasonable and allows for a few weeks' stay. I think you can petition to stay longer. Good luck! Stay safe.

Its LA. Pick any street park there and tell anyone who asks you about your status that you are homeless. You will probably get free meals and medical care delivered to you trailer.

Unless you like living in the cesspool of LA I would look out around Ontario or Big Bear.

But like already mentioned get as close to your area of focus as possible. We always avoid lLA at all costs.

Good Luck & Happy New Year

. . .
Could you narrow this down geographically, especially if you already know where you are moving to?

Happier New Year!

Try Valencia Travel Village RV Resort. I've stayed there a few times. Probably best option you'll find in L.A. County.

bad news... no campgrounds are allowed to accept reservations until the Stay-AT-Home restriction is lifted. We are on the 2nd Stay at Home order due to that there are no emergency beds available in LA county.

Keep in mind that LA county is the largest county in US. Oxnard is far up in Ventura County, not in LA county. It is so large, you need to be more specific on where you want to park your AS. I work in Ventura County but live in LA county.

Keep watching for news online on when SoCal will open.

Airstream Los Angeles, 1212 E Las Tunas Dr, San Gabriel, CA has RV storage for $225/mo.
We stored our 23' FC there a few years ago, had some minor work done, the rate was less then. We stored our TV at long term parking near LA Airport, returned 2 months later from Miami and were camping in Sequoia that night.

To correct Halford1, actually San Bernardino County is largest county in the USA.

I am not sure those words should all be used in the same sentence.

As many have mentioned above...nobody moves TO LA county. The idea is to GET OUT!

Seriously, assume you have good reason to be moving there. I lived there for 1.5 years and my office is based in LA but I cannot think of any facilities that meet your criteria. I’ll ask some of the locals.

Good luck,
Bill

Ca is a disaster zone ...
INSANE lockdown "orders" compared with other states
INSANE zoning laws
INSANE bureaucracy that makes it near impossible to open an RV park
INSANE property taxes based on the purchase price of new land

it's quite sad really ... the cost of living, doing business here, covid mandates etc, homeless situation are driving people to other states ...
