Thanks for the input. Dry weight of my "71 23' Safari is in the neighborhood of 3,800 lbs. Gross weight rating is 5,200#. Tongue weight can approach 600 if loaded with a full tank of water. The newer Airstreams are close to 1,000 lbs heavier. The trailer tows very well, even in high winds and the F150 with 3.5L EB & 10spd trans is a great tow vehicle. I see anywhere between 12 - 15 mpg when towing with the F150 depending on whether tanks are full in the trailer and also how much gear I have in the truck. And, of course, whether i'm on flat freeway or in mountains. Then there's always speed. Haven't noticed any rumbling from our Ecoboost at higher speeds.
