Trailer Tiki seems exceptionally happy today. I think it's because he's heading out to Pensacola in the morning...
-Red, only reason I can think of...

Checked the weather.... It's going to rain all week in Pensacola. Dang Trailer Tiki isn't working. Might have to sacrifice a little bourbon to get him going....

TC, I do love Topsail. Excellent park. We're all set up in Pickens right now. Weather holding for the moment. Made for a cloudy sunset though.

Well, we pedaled all around the campground... There's another Airstream here. Will stop and see who that is tomorrow. Just finished grilling and eating the chicken oobies. Sitting with the Mrs... Little bit of Jim Croce on Pandora. We've got the seventies easy listening dialed in tonight. Now she's helping Tiki with his drink burden. Hey operator...

No kidding - was in NOLA this past weekend visiting friends who we haven't seen since they moved back there from CT a couple years ago. We go to this restaurant with a real character of a waiter - he's a local - and my friends ask where their friends (we) could go camping in the area. The guy says - Top Sail - best campground ever. To which my friends say - isn't that in Florida? And the waiter says - I go there when I need to escape the heat of New Orleans :-)
Ps - Anyone who visits New Orleans should go see the WW2 memorial. We met a lovely woman there named Delores who was a real "Rosy the Riveter" during the war....the stories she told!! It's a really amazing place...
Pps - Protagonist - I thought of reaching out to see if we could connect but literally every second of the weekend was planned with our friends - including (literally) a 4-hour Sunday brunch at Brennan's (which started with Bloody Marys and ended with Bananas Foster) followed by a much needed 2 hour nap and 1 hour walk :-)
I even met one of my piano heroes, Allen Toussaint who was taking in the same concert we were (Ellis Marsalis).
We'll be back and would love to catch up and say howdy live!

We'll be leaving Thursday. Go take the self guided tour of the fort when you get here. That thing was cool. Amazing that they just let you wander around it like that... Sorry we're missing you. Everybody that was going to be here had other stuff come up, so Steaks with Red was just the two of us. Good steaks, even better company. That's the nice part of having a hot blonde for a wife...
There's another Airstream sitting here right now, but I haven't seen anybody outside of it yet...

We're still knee deep in snow up here but it looks like spring is on the way. 4 days in a row above freezing in the daytime. Winter may not be done with us yet but his days are numbered.

Easy Girl, it is technically still winter. Mother Nature is fickle; this nice weather could be just a tease. I'd keep your flannels close, just in case.
