Congrats Rob and company on your 300th member. The upcoming gathering seems like a really first rate rally.

Not a rally - by using the term rally, that puts things too close to the other club that has Mr. Byam's name in it, and I can't afford such confusion (nor have time to answer another letter from their lawyers)... this event is a BASH!!! and yes, it's going to be FIRST RATE!!!

Thanks Silvertwinkie for the congrats!!!

TAC is growing daily - it's all about having fun with our Airstreams!!!

How do I sign up? When we first bought our trailer five years ago I thought maybe we would join the other club, but quickly decided it wasn't for us. This sounds right up our alley!

Looks like you have a TAC number!
To join your neighbors to the north, we are having a rally in Iowa

I would beg to differ, as our 'compound' in Quartzsite was established prior to the official organization, and three of us immediately joined and invited all...however, I don't really care...we're campin'!!!...but, no longer in Q-town, as I understand it's 110 there......

Hey Scrap, how about a little write up about what actually was the first ever TAC rally. Maybe a few photos thrown in to bare witness of the event. I personally would love to read about it.

Mike - rather than be a "bare" witness, please remember your crown and tutu when you send pix. Wouldn't want you to further disturb the weak of mind (speaking for myself, of course).

Ahem...Yes, I AM the Trailer Trash Queen of 4CU(that IS the world title, isn't it...?)...I have 3 tiaras, a flashing baton, a Tootsie Roll Pop bouquet, that silver thingie, and a host of broken campaign promises to gain my crowning...I also have my pride, so I wear sandals instead of flip-flops(unless the weather allows my pink, furry slip-ons)...
The initial Q-town rally was just a few folks gathering their Airstreams for the winter...the 4CU Thanksgiving rally happened in a free area, so we moved(Jimmini and us), and the camp was started for the rally. After the rally, we grew by 2 more trailers, and moved into what became the 4CU compound in the long term visitation area($180/7 month permit-access to dump station, water, and dumpsters)...lo and behold!!!TAC began to appear, we joined, and declared it...well...4CU/TAC camping...and so it was, with folks wandering in and out(lots of room...BIG desert)...We'll be set up, again, this winter, and the annual Thanksgiving in Quartzsite Rally will occur...oh, say, around Thanksgiving...it is an affair of little planning...potlucks, spontaneous tours, and last year brought us the Blue Shoe Kazoo Band(Silverbear and Artstream)...Richard&Jan did the outstanding deep-fried turkeys, and Howard&Carolyn did the smoked one...Bob&Lou&JulianneJ did a pancake breakfast, and everyone else did what campers do...LOTS of support dishes, LOTS of firewood, and LOTS of camaraderie...no fees, just fun...
pics may be found on the 4CU site...I can't remember how to post them, but I'm still trying...see you in November...bring a turkey, firewood, or a treat or two...the forums will carry a thread when I get it together...mike

Stickers are here!

The TAC stickers arrived today. They will be available first at the Bash with all proceeds going to Roots & Wings. If there are any left after the Bash, we'll make them available to TAC members (all proceeds will still go to R&W). I have a feeling that these will go fast and another run will have to be produced. BTW - The printing company did a great job! Turn around time was only about a week.
