IOWA TAC - 1st Iowa Rally
To all Iowa TAC, we are camping at Prairieflower campground at Saylorville Lake. It's just north of Des Moines; just a few miles from Ankeny. The dates are July 30 - Aug 1, 2010. Federal recreation, camping and tour reservation information - Recreation.gov
Here is the link to reserve a site. We are staying in Honeysuckle.
If you would like to join us make your reservation soon because the sites fill up fast. Right now, 26 April, most of the sites within Honeysuckle are open. We'll plan a potluck for Saturday night, with more details to come later. Iowa TAC and friends are welcome.
Please reply to this thread if you are interested and planning to come.

This TAC get together is for anyone that wants to camp that weekend. Hope any Airstreamers in the area or passing through will stop in that weekend.

We like the concept of TAC and just want to have a chance to meet other people that like Airstreams and want to go camping (very informally) together. I feel that anyone that wants to join us is welcome!! We want to meet people that would be interested in camping with us or other TAC memebers, whenever it works into schedules.

For the Saturday evening potluck I am checking into reserving a shelter if there is one available. I'll post more information here once I know more. If not, we will host the potluck at our site which is H187. I'm in planning stages for another vacation, but once that is done my main focus will be our FIRST ANNUAL IOWA TAC camp weekend. Doesn't that sound official? I'm so not into official or formal, I like things flexible, loose and relaxing! So we could have multiple Iowa TAC camp weekends!! Anyone and all invited, if you like AIRSTREAMS!!!

A new club HAD to begin. No dues, no money right now. KIS - Keep it Simple....We'll figure out the rest. Thanks Tim for the hosting site. So far, 61 members are signed on... thanks to you all! This is OUR club and we'll make something we all will enjoy - that is our hopes. Yes, I have national number of 273 and the TAC IA-10.
We are going to try and make it, but our kids are coming in from tx and tn; haven't been together in 4 years. They are here for the Bix race and blues fest and family get together. Depends if they come early and leave early. Bix is the 23rd.
