So I had to say goodbye to the 1947 Liner. It wasn't easy and I am still upset about it, BUT it obviously wasn't in the cards...
.
So, I went on the hunt again and after a few attempts, I was steered by one forum member toward another and found a new-to-me gem.
I am now the proud owner of a 1956 (registered 1957) Overlander 26'.
She is need of a full, shell-off frame replacement, but the nice part of having to start from the beginning, is that everything can be updated and...

Well, after four months of the run around with the dealer, I have decided to back out and get my money back.
Sad, but I have always had things work easy when they're supposed to. The poor airstream suffers in this case, like an old discarded dog. But I can't waste more time struggling along- and driving everyone around me insane. So, I am back to the hunt. Wish me luck!

Well, today I did it. I broke my bank and bought an Airstream. Over the next few years I'm sure it'll all be worth it! Excited and exhausted
