Howdy Gang!
I'm proud to say that I am officially WV-1 and am officially checking in! And, I am very pleased to report that "Silver Sisters" (as in other silver trailers...not chrome plated women) are welcome in this new club.
I hope to bring my 34 ft Avion to a TAC rally sometime this summer. She's a 1987, so not really old enough to be vintage...just old. But I've done a ton of work to her and have her fixed up pretty nicely now.
I've said for years that I like all the silver trailers....if it's riveted aluminum, I want one. I like Airstreams, Avions, Streamlines, Silver Streaks, Curtis Wrights, and especially Spartans! The other guys told me to pound sand when I wanted to join them. But Rob said "Welcome aboard!"
Count me in!

Is there a way for a group like TAC to have a subforum to their forum on here. I was thinking that this thread will get really long otherwise. It would be great to have a place to plan trips etc.
For example, I was thinking that it might be fun for folks in the MD/PA/VA/WVA or whatever area that don't mind dry camping or only having electricity to have a get together at Rocky Gap State Park. It's just east of Cumberland, MD. It is one of our favorite campgrounds. They have a "family" camping area that has 6 electric hookups, plus room for others and is close to bathrooms and showers (all new last year). Here is a description of the site:
" The family group site offers visitors a location for many units and space for up to 40 people to camp together. The group site includes a two-story mini cabin with balcony, porch, and electric, as well as six electric hookups and a group fire ring. Access to two nearby bathhouse facilities is available. Rental of the group site is $225.00 per night, with no reduction for individual rentals."
Of course, this is likely to be one of many suggestions over time. It would be really nice in the fall when the leaves are changing. BTW, the family site is adjacent to other camping loops if folks wanted their own site.
