Hi TA-2!
Good to meet you!
I've been wondering when we might meet!
Glad to know that the eastern side of the state is represented - Linn County. Have you ever visited your County's Pinicon Ridge Park?

62overlander has a good idea!. We from Iowa should get together. Some campgrounds like Praire Flower North at the Corps of Engineers Saylorville Lake just north of Des Moines has some reservable group loops that can accomodate from 4 to 14 trailers. If anyone from Iowa or nearby is interested we can look for a weekend date and plan something. July or August would fit us bettter right now, but we are open to suggestions. We would be glad to co-ordinate it.

You know I would if I could.
Unfortunately my trailer is all pulled apart right now and, and, and........
Maybe we should hold it more on the eastern side of Iowa?

I finally put my new TAC number on the Airstream, front and rear street side.

Shoot a PM to robandzoe and he'll get you a TAC #. That's all there is to it. Welcome - glad to have another AZ member. Let's rally.

Got numbers! Will rally!
My numbers came in the mail yesterday and I applied them this morning. They are BRIGHT yellow and are at the top of both the rear window and the front gravel guard. Look for TX-10 on the road.
On edit: I didn't notice EHARV post until after I posted this. Harv, are you going to put your numbers on your rig?

Ya know guys and gals, starting a new Airstream Club is great! But it looks like you are falling prey to the same, "I am better than you" thing, with handing out "numbers" indicating your status on the totempole of how quickly you send in your information.
Why not just indicate your "STATE" or origin in Birght yellow and dispense with the numbering. Issuing a number, publishing a book of who is who, hmmm sounds like another club, doesn't it. Your starting nothing new, here. Just one WBCCI frustrated opinion. (Re-instate Leo) Yea!

I see the numbers more as a means of identifying other members on the road rather than as a status symbol. That of course does assume a directory or member list.
The WBCCI numbers don't show any status. at least those above 1000. Most have been retreaded several times. Actually a high number could well indicate that a member has been in the club longer. When I first joined in 72 I had a 5 digit number. I changed it later.
I like being able to spot members and friends by the numbers

I'd be happy to be Number ON-101 instead of ON-1, that way I'd know there was 100 others to party with in Ontario.
Come to our TAC rally at Science Hill park, just North of St. Marys, Ontario, May 21-22-23-24.
Everyone welcome, Airstream or not.

Is there a font, color, and size standard to the numbers?

Tac numbers
HowieE; to my knowledge there are no rules regarding color, size, location. I chose road side because it is easy to spot while on the move. Mine are 2" I didn't want to be ostentatious.

don't you mean "Tacky"?
As self declared club colors chairman I have decided the color of the numbers shall be BURNT ORANGE.
Members that do not compily will be charged fidy cents by our newly appointed scooter patrol rules enforcer, Madge.
Yellow.... now that would be ostentatious.
