City water inlet leak under pump?

We have had a slow leak develop and I believe it is from the city water inlet (insulation wet around there). I am only using my tank and pump now due to the nighttime temps getting into twenties and teens. The pump will pulse several times during the night (when cold), which got me looking. I keep hot water heater on at night with furnace to prevent freezing. Could this inlet be causing problem when on internal tank and pump? I have tried to trace lines and think so, but not sure (can’t find plumbing diagram).

I have tried tightening 4 screws on back of regulator/inlet, but not sure that has done it. Anyone know if a replacement can be ordered on Amazon or at camping store if it’s the culprit (full timing)? My guess is that water in regulator may be freezing and causing issue at night?

When mine went bad, it did also leak when we were using the fresh tank & pump. To complete the trip we were on, I cut & plugged the PEX that connects to it.

And this is a case where insulation is not your friend. If insulation is packed around the fixture, that prevents the heat inside the trailer from reaching it. When I was in there, I pulled out some insulation (just from the immediate area).

I now have a water detection alarm on the floor under this area, to alert me next time.

Thanks for the verification that my issue could be regulator. Good idea on the temp fix. Makes me think I should install a valve inline on the PEX to be able to shut it off when not in use (which will likely be always). Have a new regulator on order to replace at next stop.

The water inlet is a cheap (unless you have to buy a new one) plastic assembly and is often a cause for failure and water damage to the subfloor. Our first trailer cost us almost $10K to repair because we never noticed any symptoms until too late. Part of the problem is the way some connect the hose and filter causing a strain on the plastic assembly. I always put the filter next to the water supply hose bib and use a bungee cord connected to the side awning hook to reduce strain. I inspect often and I'm on my 3rd replacement inn 10 years (two trailers).

Yup, like everyone said. I had mine replaced under warranty.
