The dates for the TAC-OH Amish Country Rally have been moved to April 5-8, 2012. It will be hosted by: Airbiscuit & Silvermine with assistance from Winestream. We hope everyone who had issues with attendance on the original dates can join us for this weekend! We are looking forward to it. The layout for parking and hook ups has changed a bit so upon your arrival someone will greet you with a smile, goody bag for joining us, and show you to your campsite!
More details will be provided as we get closer. And yes, Winestream has been left in charge with organizing the trailer park gift exchange!

It's down on our calendar too, and April 5th is Nora's birthday! Now....if we will just be able to drag our AS out of the soggy back yard......

I'm excited to have people come forward and put their style on this rally. This year, I'll be able to go around and do a lot more socializing than last year.

I don't know what the fairgrounds' changes in sites entail, but a piece of info from last year: Bring any and all extension cords and water hoses that you have. Some people went out and bought extra cords and hose last year. Also, there's no 30A plug outlets. There are 50A and 15/20A outlets so bring your 30 to 15A and 50 to 30A adapters.

Thanks to being out on our own spring break vacation, we'll be pulling back into town off the tail end of our trip, so we'll just drop the Airstream at the fairgrounds. Unfortunately, anyone hoping to see our "new" motorhome will not be able to do so at this rally We'll be running home and hauling in the firewood though. Can't have a rally without a fire!

I hope to see many repeat visitors as well as some new faces. From the history of this thread, it seems as though that will be the case.

Hi Scott. Glad to see you jumping in here. I know you're a busy guy (busy family, actually), but we like to see the locals come out. I'm so thrilled to hear yet another person that's still using their trailer-park-exchange gift. It was intended to be an hour of fun for the evening, we never thought that items "won" would continue to be used for days, months, or even years after.

TAC Amish County Rally Interest

We are new to trailering and hope to join a few rallies this year. Wooster on April 20-22 looks like a great rally for our first. We hope that there is enough interest to make this one happen.

Hello and welcome to Airforums. We are honored to have your first post here.

Re-check your calendar, though. Just announced today earlier in the thread, the rally has been moved to April 5-8. We hope this still fits in your calendar. For sure it will happen. The interest has been expressed (even though the poll is closed). Hope to see you there. There's many other great rallies in this area throughout the year; but that's a good conversation for around the fire or in the building if the weather isn't cooperating.

Bumpity bump.

Hope everyone is doing well. Your cohosts for this rally have been hard at work gathering items for the goody bags. we have also been scooping out some places to get freshly made donuts and desserts for the rally as well.
We are excited to start our camping season with this being our shake down for the season. Come on April!

Date change for rally

Oh nuts! I understand that it's hard to come up with a date that works for everyone, but while we were excited about coming back to Ohio for the rally later in April, this early April date doesn't work for us at all. Hopefully next year! All the attendees last year were such great people, we're going to miss being there with you this year. Have a wonderful rally!

Rally Date - - Oops

Well Darn

After a wonderful time last year and anticipating this year's event, we are not going to be able to attend. Returning from Florida just 2 days before and Easter that Sunday, we just can't make it happen.

Have a great time all and we'll look forward to another time

That's a bummer you can't make it. I was impressed last year with you all showing up and having never met you before. I was even more impressed at your enthusiasm for attending again. So, the new date doesn't work... there's always next year! Hopefully I will see you guys at another rally this year somewhere. Safe travels back home in April.

Rally Date Works For Us

We are looking forward to our first rally in Wooster. How does one "sign up"?

sign up

Mark and Shar,
You sign up by simply going to the calendar page and clicking the link for that rally. It will take you to a summary page of the event and there will be a place to reply: yes, no or maybe ....and a small spot for a comment. Airbiscuit (Loren), Thesilvermine (Ella), and Winestream (Jason) will be looking there to keep track.
If you don't find it, pm Airbiscuit and she will tell you more.

Lou (Airbiscuit's mom)

What loudruff mentioned is true. One of the unique (and weird) things about where this rally is held is that you don't have to make a reservation. Actually, if you call the fairgrounds and inquire, you will get a lot of strange responses like: "I don't know what you're talking about" or "You should call the organizer of your event". The fairgrounds has campers a lot, but they are not in the business of taking reservations. It's kinda nice really. If you want to come to the rally, show up. You can leave a check made out to the fairgrounds for the number of nights you stayed or leave cash with your hosts. If you unexpectedly can't make it at the last minute...there's no cancellation fee or reservation to cancel. Once the rally is over, the money for the site fees is given to the fairgrounds and they cash the checks. If our rally has 3 or 30 it doesn't matter to the fairgrounds. Of course your hosts would rather have 30...

Were planning to attend.

Are there any hookups at the fairgrounds?

What is the fee for the fairground folks?

Thanks.
