Pump Controller And Vibration

The pump runs smoother at all speeds. There is less vibration and consequently less noise.

Zip Dee Awning Manual Electric

I got my trailer in July 2022 and the second day the awing broke. It took almost 4 months and 4 trips to the dealer to get it working. Last June camping and on the 4th day the front vertical stopped pulsing to the computer and the awning would only go out about 3 feet. It would go back in but would not go all the way out. Talking to ZipDee tech they said to check all the connections as it sounds like the pulse from the front vertical is not reaching the circuit board. Checked rechecked no luck. I think it is in the arm itself oh well.

I gave up on the complicated computer and sensors and bypassed it with reversing switches and now it works great. Yes a small risk if I'm not paying attention but as long as the motors work then the awning should work.

I have rotated the pic in an editor but still won't display correctly. Does anyone know how fix the pics?

Absolute shame Airstream et all are not beating a trail to your over $100,000 unit to help with repairs of the ever problematic electric awning. These powered awnings have been a problem for many since day one.

Yes, but any resizing works, even going up in size or changing it by just a few pixels.
It appears that resizing strips off the metadata that remembers the orientation.

I actually tried a test with my iPhone. I took pictures of my monitor in every orientation. Then I downloaded them to a file and posted here. I'm baffled, all were oriented correctly, even the one's I intententionally took upside down.
It's beyond my reptile brain to understand.

I have shared some of this but I just keep buying! LOL. I got a new sensor for Micropulse and a SureCall Cellular array along with personal tower, new stove- used it this last week finally and really like it, makeshift office setup, New TV and sound system, ceramic coating by Vinnie (Tallahassee), new solar mounting setup with tilting, new Lion Lithium batts- no shunt or monitor needs mounted or wired, built in-use your phone. New Solar Controller and PD upgrade again but this time for Lithium.

The Lion batteries are nice. Not only can you get them on sale at Costco for about $650 each but they save you around $250 not having to have a Victron monitor and shunt. Additionally they have a lifetime warranty. They also have one of the highest draw rates at 150amp. I am glad to see lithium less than a grand a battery. I also just got back from a thousand + mile trip and got 13mpg towing calculated at pump overall. That is the highest overall I have ever gotten. The hybrid may not run in electric mode when towing but it makes some kind of difference. The truck computer said I got 15.9 towing but I believe pump calculation is more accurate. My previous F150 3.5L 10spd. Got 12 avg. All towing is done with regular gas.

What did we get Birdy lately?

Two things...

1. New cushions. After 13 years (Has it really been that long!?) I thought it was time for new cushions.

2. A (new to us) yet to be named "sibling"...a 2015 27' FBT!

We are excited to pick-it up Labor Day Weekend and start getting ready to follow 70-degrees in retirement about a year from now!

Installed the See Level II Bluetooth monitor panel. Don’t have to walk inside to see the tank levels when flushing/filling the black tank and filling fresh water. Much easier.

I didn't know I needed that! Was the install as simple as just unplugging the original panel and plugging in the new one?

That is a simpler solution than what I implemented last year (that also works well).

I replaced the airstream factory SeeLevel display with their nmea 2000 compatible version. This is supported by my victron cerbo GX via the canbus port. If you then connect your cerbo GX to a pepwave cellular modern via ethernet cable (Pepwave BR1 Pro 5G in my case), you can then check your tank levels both locally in real time and remotely via victron remote monitoring portal (VRM).

To check the tank levels in real time while you are filling up the black tank to flush it for example, you simply enter the ethernet address of your cerbo GX into a web browser on your phone and the full display capabilities of the cerbo GX become available. In my case, the local network address of my cerbo GX is 192.168.50.20. Note: your address is likely to be assigned by DHCP on your router and will be different from my cerbo gx's address.

See below for a screenshot of what the real time cerbo GX tank monitoring looks like. As ExploreUT points out, it's a really useful capability to have.

Side note: I have also wired up the propane level sensors on my two aluminum propane tanks to the resistive sensor interface ports on my cerbo GX so I can track my propane tank levels as well. Click image for larger version

We bought a couple of utility shelving units (18-in W x 12-in D x 26-in H) for the big closet in our trailer. Didn’t need it to be a closet for hanging clothes so we turned into a spot for the microwave and storage for dishes/cooking items or food. They are only 12” depth so two of them fill the space. We didn’t want to do anything that couldn’t be undone.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

Yes, basically a swap. I used the Wago wire connectors and followed the directions included to map the wires to the new panel. Various DIY YouTube videos also helped, despite the simplicity of the swap.

Haven’t figured out how to disable the fourth sensor wire to the LPG tanks triggering an alert in the app each time though. I have the Mopeka wireless sensors installed and don’t need the SeeLevel interface.

When I upgrade to Lithium and install the Victron “management” package, I will connect the SeeLevel panel to the Cerbo GX panel. This was a bridge to that longer term plan to give more flexible access to the info.

Nice setup you have.

Swapped to an Isotherm fridge/freezer combo, so now the fridge works when driving. Cools down quite a bit faster too. Hoping this will be a good combo with the planned Solar upgrade

Hi Lara Me, what appliance did you install below the isotherm fridge? Did you relocate the 120v and 12v breaker panel that used to be there?

I hybridized the water tank with one of those electric anode rods by Briidea. It is 425 watts and takes like two hours to 130 degrees on a 6 gallon tank but that is good considering that how water is there all the time without propane and then, when you want more, flip on the propane for faster recovery, especially in a park.
