Does anyone pull their Airstream with Land Rover? Would love to see pictures or stories. It works out great for our family.
Adventure is out there!

We are pulling our 23D International with a 2015 LR4 (3L SC V6). Great combination, if fuel economy is not a big priority.

Did you modify the standard reciever on your Range Rover?
You are super brave if you are towing with an unmodified Range Rover L322 reciever. I have had several range rovers including a 2011 SC (basically same as yours). I also have a 25' international. But I don't tow with RR (I use my Infiniti QX56)
The 2010 comes with a class III hitch and the mounting to the unibody leaves a lot to be desired - only rated for 550lbs tongue weight. It was never designed to manage the type of hitch weight (750-900lbs+) that a 25' late model airstream generates.
Check the welds frequently if you have not already modified the hitch for the additional tongue weight and torque that a WD hitch generates.
My $0.02 mainly - I'm just bummed that I couldn't tow safely with my 2011 RR. I even looked into the new 2013+ but even those require hitch modification.

My Westfalia hitch says 770 tongue weight. The receive appears to be pretty damn beefy, no stress cracks to be found. I have been cautious of tongue weight from the beginning, and relocated batteries further back, and load under the dinette to keep tongue weight close to 800.

Just get the hitch reinforced. Takes two hours, peace for years.

Yes, that is stamped all the L322 hitches. Just know that the setup of that receiver bar on the range rover was not explicitly designed (as a system) to manage 800lbs of weight. definitely watch you rear axle / payload limits.
Glad that you are having some great success towing with this setup - I am jealous and I'm now wishing that I wasn't so conservative and hadn't sold my 2011 SC

I don't tow with a LR, but here's mine on the way to Alaska in 1971.

I had the exact same model. A Series II SWB, 1964, except mine had a canvas top. I used to own a couple of classic Land Rovers, but that was my favourite. It had a tick where the front left signal light would not work, except if the screw holding the plastic cover was just a little bit loosened. It made no sense whatsoever, and I tried for hours to fix it, but in the end I just chalked it up to the famous Land Rover quirkiness and called it a day.
My wife, my girlfriend at the time, and I took ours across the Pyrenees from France to Spain, across tiny mountain passes and shepherd trails. Great fun.

Heck it made perfect sense, Lucas Electrics. Famous for crapping out at the worst possible time. I had a 64 and a 70 Rover and a string of MGs. All had the infamous Lucas gremlins. I would buy a new one in a heart beat if I could afford the payments.

Lr4 towing
We tow our 22 Sport with a 2015 LR4, with weight distribution hitch. The ride is flawless.
Considering moving up to a Globetrotter 2018. What sort of reinforcement of the hitch would be required to make this feasible??

Towing Safari 25FB w 2016 RR Diesel
I am towing 25'FB Safari with the Range Rover diesel with no issues. I am working with Andy at Canam to upgrade my setup to pull my 30' bunk Flying Cloud. I will give an update sometime after the first of the year on how that goes. I currently pull it with Ford F-150 with 3.5L V6 EcoBoost.

Flame suit on.
At the risk of getting flamed by the LR contingent. Having owned finicky European cars myself. Not sure I'd be brave enough to travel far with a Land Rover or Range Rover.
While not as stylish. A Land Cruiser (in LX570 guise) is certainly in the same vein of travel style. And it does tow these larger AS's with aplomb and absolute reliability. I lifted my AS 3" to match the boondocking capabilities of the tow vehicle.

I've owned about 25 Land Rovers over the years.
My favorite ever was a 1993 Range Rover Classic SWB Coil Sprung from the factory (no air ride). She was a joy.
I've owned a NAS 110/ NAS 90/ LR3/LR4/Disco I/Disco II/ a sweet canvas top 64 Series IIA - right-hand drive - and more.
Even with my deep affection for Land Rovers, I wouldn't begin to think about pulling an Airstream with one.
F250 and never worry about making it from Point A to Point B. I do love seeing all the pics though.

Aside from regular maintenance ($$$ with my mileage), my RR S/C has been pretty reliable and trouble-free. Never left me stranded, on the road, or on the trail. And for us, I am pretty sure the LR is more capable off road, which is important to us in our exploring. I have done some very difficult trails (without the AS..).
Any complex/high end SUV is a crap shoot if it will be a gem, or unreliable. I have friends with Ram/Ford trucks whom have reliability problems, even when they never to anything.
Is the Toyo probably more reliable/less maintenance? yea. Personally, can't hang with Lexus styling.. with that said, I can't hang with some of the new LR styling.
A 3/4 ton pickup would be nice to have on long hauls and in terrible conditions.. A Ram is on my short list if/when we full time. But there is no denying the comfort, packaging, and capability that suits our lifestyle best with the RR. There are also some technical trails that a full size truck simply could not make it on.
My only wish is for the TDV8 diesel for greater range.. But for now, I never lack for power with 470 lb/ft and 510HP. We manage 11 MPG average with my off road 33" tires, roof rack and crap on it, 1.5" lift on RR, and 3" lift on AS, while nearly always being in/near mountains and hills.
