I saw one of these live on the highway. Really nice looking vehicle!

Hard to tell from the pic, but is your trailer nose a little high? Doesn't quite look level but could be the camera angle.

It very well may be nose high. (I noticed that too.) But, it was a quick pick up and drop off. I put Reese longest drop shank on there and ran it over the truck scale on the way. I'm light about 200 lbs in front compared to the rear on the truck so we need to do some work on the set up. The guys at Woodland Travel are going to help me with that when I go back to pick up the trailer. I checked with the Airstream2Go folks when I bought the vehicle and this was their recommendation. Basically it is the same set up they use except with '13 Denalis.

6.2 Offering in Tahoe/Suburban by Chevrolet

The 6.2 for the GM Chevrolet line is found in the Cadillac Escalade. The Yukon Denali (or Yukon Denali XL) is the GMC equivalent of the Escalade.
You won't find the 6.2 in the Tahoe, nor (I think) in the Suburban.

So now I'm seeing the Yukon XL Denali has an optional 6.2L with lots of horsepower and torque. I attribute the horsepower to the fact that the engine revs quite a bit higher than previous (particularly big block) engines. But the torque numbers (granted, torque is related to horsepower) look very appealing - much like the big blocks of yesteryear.

Why is this awesome 6.2L only available in the Denali? I looked on the Chevrolet web site and I don't see the 6.2L available at any trim level. Am I missing something? Is it coming soon to a showroom near me. I don't mind buying a GMC just seems odd that I didn't see the same equipment offered on a Chevrolet. Maybe GMC is trying to distinguish itself as a truck manufacturer again.

So if the 3/4 ton is off the table - maybe there's hope for a 1/2 ton, perhaps a 1/2 ton HD, version of the Suburban/Yukon XL that will pull like the big blocks that ended production in 2006.

I know the 6.2 was available in the Silverado in 2011. Is it still available in the Silverado? Did the GMC Sierra Denali have the. 6.2?

Silverado and Sierra get the 6.2 in the MaxTow package, along with a larger rear axle. There is a 5.3 MaxTow as well.

First Tow

Took our first trip with the '15 Yukon this week - 786 miles from SW Michigan to Brown County, Indiana. Pulling the 25fb we averaged 12.1 mpg for the trip. The best 25 mile stretch was 15.6 and the best 50 miles were 14.9. It handles well and hill descent control works well. This mileage is a 20% + improvement over my '06 Grand Cherokee 5.7.

Thanks for the update, how did it handle? Did you get the hitch dialed in? The one and only picture I saw looked like the back end of the Yukon might have been a little high?
Again, great looking rig.

It handled well in some pretty heavy winds at times. I did get the Reese where it needs to be. That picture gives the impression that the trailer is high in the nose but it is spot on level. I don't know if it is the slight slope to the rear of the Yukon or the camera. The self levelers on the Yukon don't budge either as long as I hook up with the engine on. And, on the scales there is a difference of just over 100 pounds between the front and rear axles so I think that's about as good as I'm going to get it.

Yeah, sounds like you've got it just about as close as it's going to get. I'm a little jealous of your new ride; we're getting a larger trailer so we're going to stick with the 3/4 ton we already have.

I bought a 2014 Sierra 1/2 ton 5.3 ecotec 34 MPG already and not broken in yet not to mention all the other things integrated into the built in trailer brake like trailer sway control, and advanced hill decent control. Far superior truck to my old 05 silverado Click image for larger version

Don't get excited. Peter is not getting 34MPG in the U.S. Imperial gallons and KM's. If I had gotten 34MPG with mine I would have had second thoughts about moving to a 2500 Duramax

A small mistake I calculated it out to a Metric gallon I am consistently getting 8.6 liters per 100 kilometers = 32.846 miles per imperial gallon.
Keep in mind that is not towing but daily highway milage driving the speed limit of 100kph I even double checked it with fuel reciepts and the computer is almost exactly on
