I wrote a lengthy description of the effort and lost it to the ether. Suffice it to say the solution was unsatisfactory as the cable continued to stretch. No way with the cable to hold the sun screen high enough without putting too much pressure on the awning, and ultimately I had too much stretch in the cable for the solution to keep the sun out.

    Hello Silver.Sanctuary,

I just read your post from a couple of years ago about attaching a solar shade to your awning by using a cable and turnbuckles. Could you send pictures, or at least a description of how you attached the cable & turnbuckles to the awning?

    Thanks,
