Screen Door Inserts and Sink Cutting board modification
I picked up some 1/4" Plexiglass and cut to fit the outside of the screen door openings. A few plastic screen window clips from ACE Hardware, and now we can keep the door open for a view on colder or windy days, and see the view out that side of the AS.
I also cut hole in the AS Sink cover, giving us more counter space and still able to use the sink.

Sink cover mod and screen door inserts....
You have made my day.....the cover mod also allows moisture to evaporate from the sink. How super...will do this when I return home. Thanks.
The inserts are on my long "to do" list already and do add so much to the light entering.
Thanks much.

Have you tried a sewer solution? You might need an extension. It can pump up hill over a fairly long distance. We have replaced our stinky slinky. It also allows us to hook up to our plumbing clean out on the side of the house instead of the sewer cleanout.

Haven't tried it but watched the YouTube video. Looks like a simple system but a few more water hoses.

New window covers, paint, and wax!
We've been looking for something to protect the wrap-around front windows on our 26' Argosy. The $2800-$3000 installed Airstream brand covers did not excite us due to the cost and the fact that the front/side window covers were tinted and non-removable, reducing light in the trailer and emptying our wallet. Not in that order, mind you. You can see the after market solution we inherited with the trailer in the "Before" picture.
"After" picture: aluminum sheet metal. Front window cover flips up. Side window covers connect with tee handles and are removed when we reach the campsite. No more worrying about rocks on the highway!!! Best $300 solution I've seen.
My wife also lightly sanded and painted the end caps, then we waxed it. I think she looks great! Both my wife and the trailer. Protected from rocks, sun and rain... Time to go camping. Leaving Thursday for a new Argosy Adventure.
(Editor's note. iPad won't let me attach two pics to this post. "Before pic" will be posted just after this)

A good friend of mine just made this beautiful solid wood dual sided cutting board for my new 2015 Serenity. He says he'd like to do more if anyone is interested. He's a master craftsman and is based here in Larkspur, CO.
Getting ready to head down to the Pagosa Springs/Durango area Friday for a week. Looking forward to some high country living!
Cheers,
Bigcgar.

Following the lead of others here, we replaced the plastic Sat/Cable cover with a stainless model from Marinco that matches the factory 50 Amp power cover. Joe

Not sure what he would charge for this as it was a gift to me, but I've seen similar ones online for $130+ depending on they type of wood used (mine was walnut, mahogany and ash). The more exotic the higher the price. He does great wood work and recently won a national competition for building a piece of furniture. If interested IM me and I can pass along his contact details.

Not something I got today.....
.....but something I keep in the traveling tool kit.
Round cocktail toothpicks, an item many Streamer's wouldn't leave home without.
Marine Tex...
Now I realize that few of us has ever had a stripped wood screw on our Airstreams, but if you have this will help....
Coat the toothpicks with MT, insert one at a time in the stripped hole 'til semi-tight, cut flush.
If you want the ability to remove in the future, spray the screw threads with WD40 and wipe excess, add a small amount of MT to the tip of the screw and screw into the toothpicks, let cure 24hrs, remove screw and mount.... if not just screw away, you'll probably be able to get it apart but it will take some effort.
Disclaimer.....all my repairs have been 'permanent', never had one fail yet.....BUT, it is an Airstream after all.

We finally got our dream kayak, a Jackson Big Tuna. We both enjoy fishing and just being on the water. Since we got the AS we had to leave the bass boat at home and we've been looking for a way to travel with a boat. I did a lot of research and we settled on the Big Tuna.
I don't have a good picture of it yet, but here's one I found on the Internet. Ours is olive green camo instead of red, but it's the same rig.
