I HIGHLY recommend the strongback chairs. Quite possibly the most comfortable folding chairs ever made. At least check them out before committing to the zip dees. Trust me you won't regret it.

(Had a couple folding type camping chairs and narrow but with 148 lbs broke a plastic joint on one of them and other is at it's end).

I agree 100%! The Strongback chairs are great! I do not like the Zip Dee's because the bar across the seat cuts into the underside of my thighs just above the knees and I find this gets very uncomfortable very quickly. The unique design of the Strongbacks makes for a very comfortable and stable seat.

Check out their website:

I am going to create a thread with a few questions about strongback...in a few I would appreciate input. I am intrigued by this chair.

We asked the local dealer to make a cabinet conversion to our 2013 25FB International Serenity like in the 27FB Classic for the ZipDee chairs. We also ordered two ZipDee chairs where the fabric matched our awning material. The cabinetry was initially a disaster and had to be redone which took literally four months, but the chairs are great and we kept them when the unit was sold.

Up through 2014, the Classics come with a pair of blue awning matching fabric chairs.

We find them comfortable as have others that have sat in them. So far my 195 pounds (down from 215) have caused no apparent damage. We are relatively short (5' 5" on a good day) and have no issues with the front bar. I guess the measurement from ankle to knee joint controls that comfort issue.

We saw these chairs at the FOD rally and loved them! Just ordered them from Overstock.com and they were extremely well made, fold down to almost nothing and very comfortable. Thanks Silverleaf for the hit to our wallet.

More info here: EMS-PT30C

I have the 50amp from Progressive. Has life time warranty. I bought mine used from a man in FL. Contacted the Prez of Progressive to see if warranty was still life time if I purchased it used and he emailed me back and told me the warranty stands. Can't beat that deal. It was a win win for me. I use it ALL the time.

I really the director style chair with the nice table that opens to the side.

We bought the strong back chairs and are thrilled with them! Really gives your back a lot of support and super comfortable!

New lighter round bars for the Reese Strait-Line hitch. The hitch came with the trailer, and had 1200 lb bars. Very uncomfortable, jerky ride. Based on advice found here, got a pair of 600 lb bars and will set them up this week. Hope they help!

Just ordered the Strongback chairs based on everyone's comments. I am very hopeful that I will finally have a decent camp chair! Steve

I just received my new toilet flange and gasket. Exciting news, I know! Somehow, one of my undisclosed night guests at the homestead sat down hard enough to tilt the toilet and break the flange. I thought that was impossible....
