This forum is the only place I have ever used CarrieSue, and I frankly never thought I would. My name at birth was Carolyn Suzanne Watkins -- my mom wanted to name me plain Carrie but my dad would have none of it -- and the reason my mom gave for the Suzanne was very practical: if I ever became a country music singer, I could go by Carrie Sue.

After carrying two other last names for the usual reasons, and ending up on my own in my late 20s, I decided I just wanted my own dang name, one that didn't have any associations with a man that I may or may not have wanted to be attached to (men, I love you, don't get me wrong). So I made up a name and changed it: Carolyn Hazel Drake. I've been happy with it.

Anyways, long enough story -- when I decided to buy a trailer, I figured I was as close as I was gonna get to being a country music singer. CarrieSue it is.

My wife and I and our then three small children traveled the U.S. and lived for a year and half in a 1994 34 ft. Airstream classic. In 2010 ( 15 years later ) we bought a 1970 overlander to renovate with similar intentions this time just my wife and I. Some may remember the band 10 years after, that math didn't work so 15 years after it was.
Still working on the Overlander by the way !

We are a family of three that love to camp...and so when I produce videos of our camping adventures I made up a fictitious production company tag called "Another 3 Campers Production". That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Sodbust,,,

Back about the time I started to farm mid 1970s,, the govt came up with a land retirement brain fart offer.. Stop farming and we pay you $50 an acre..

I did not take the offer as I came back to the family farm to farm ,, not sit on my rear and take govt checks,. So all my fellow farmers in the area started to call me Sodbuster,. as I kept tilling the soils.. The name stuck and it fit.. Well to tell the truth,, seldom have I made a return of $50 an acre since.. But I hold my head high for not being part of the country's problems now,,

Sodbust. Nw Kansas

It's an old license plate from my first new car, 1988 Toyota Camry. Not sure why I used it, it's just stuck in my head. LOL

Ho'onanea is a Hawaiian word. My understanding is there isn't a single English word to translate it to but those who are familiar with both languages say it in English this way: to pass the time with peace, ease, and pleasure. I thought it was perfect!

In other words, it means Airstreaming!

Which raises the question, how many Airstreamers are there in Hawaii?

Mine's pretty easy, I'm the driver, my wife's the passenger, and my dog is the navigator. We see lots of interesting things this way.
