Just as Golden Gate is the strait that connects the San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean, Silver Gate was another name for the entrance to the beautiful San Diego Harbor.

The name of a ship that is a part of the Norwegian coastal steamer fleet. I took a short ride on one some years ago while in Norway with the USAF. It's Norwegian for Polar Lights, known to us as "Northern Lights". Actually I think they spell it POLARLYS.

We bought a 1975 Overlander, we live in the north, I work for a railway that runs a passenger train called the "Northlander". It seemed to fit.

I wanted to use earnmor however it was taken so I used a play on words and chose urnmor. Not sure if it motivated me to earn more money or not.

It's fun to see all of these responses!
Nothing clever or creative in our username. We both have the same first initial - the 's' at the beginning, Harbour is our last name, and there's two of us, hence the 's' at the end. So, we are the S. Harbour's.

Mine stands for Chuck And Skye Anderson (CASA). (or chuck anderson, skye anderson). 3805 is our house number, it is also our WBCCI number so it seemed to work. But now that Skye has her own login name on the forums, she saw me spending hours on here and the old "if you can't beat 'em join 'em" thing kicked in, maybe I should rethink it. ca3805, 3805ca...nah
I'll stick with casa3805. But I am quite willing to change a signature or an avatar now and then..

Maybe you should google "CASA" and then become involved?

I just like the pic!

WOW! Some of you have some realy neat and creative backgrounds to your user names. Well ours is pretty simple Nothing to hard to figure out about ours, just look in the phone book and go to the "S" and look at the most common name in the book and you got us figured out.

user names
When I was on a list for Austin Healy Sprite owners, I used the signature of bill b. (first name and first initial of last name) One of the other forum users was from Australia and said, that whenever he saw my sig. he had to chuckle. In Australia a bilby is a small furry marsupial that looks kind of like a kangaroo rat. They even have an : "Easter Bilby" the 05 is when we got the Airstream.
cheers, bill b.

When Al first started lurking around here He used his old hiking trail name "Sage64" but when the Airstream miraculously came into our lives we agreed that since we have done EVERYTHING together since we were sixteen, the user name should reflect the "team" that we have always been. (Patty now claims that she was only twelve when all this began.) Twobikes reflected a current interest in bike touring --very slow, sedate, geriatric touring--and we are now learning how to combine the biking with Airstreaming

CASA is an acronym for a number of various groups. One that I am familiar with is the Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children. It is a volunteer driven program, passionately advocates for abused and neglected children who are caught up in the court and child welfare maze because they are unable to live safely at home. Appointed by judges, CASA volunteers typically advocate for one child at a time and commit to staying with the child until placed in a safe, permanent home. CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as officers of the court.

John,
How it applied to this case in England, based on real trial.
Very good movie on that very subject.... Sundance Channel.
Stumbled on it by accident recently....Dominic West,(The Wire), impressive performance.
