"CATSON4" because it started out as Catson7, and as we lost another furry freind to old age, I changed the name to the next lower number. ie catson 6.... and so on. of course we added a few alng the way too, so I had to add a number twice.
When it got down to "catson4" my better half and I decided that it should stay as it is today.
I only have 2 cats today. Brothers taht are 13 years young...
By the way , our cats have lived as long as 20 years and the youngest was 14 when he passed on to "The Rainbown Bridge".
So I am "CATSON4".

While doing research for my RV I ran across a site called "Earth Roamer" which was very interesting. I liked the name but knew I would not be roaming the Earth, so, I am roaming the USA, hence the name "USA Roamer"

Hi Cameron, Canada is not out of the question, I do plan on visiting, parts of it at least. In fact I will be going through to Alaska in June. I haven't picked the entrance route yet. My understanding is that you have some very beautiful country to see, which I am looking forward to.
Per the name, most of my roaming will be in the USA.

The name moosetags comes from SuEllyn's invention, Moose Tags. Moose Tags are wire/cable identification tags. Our Airstream's name is Lucy, but she has Moose Tags Cable Labels - Label Your Cables, cords, and wires. all over her. Lucy is our traveling billboard.

From the Navy
When I first started participating in forums a few years ago I was serving as the Navigator on a Navy LHD. Navy navigators are commonly called "Gator" and I had to add a 1 to the moniker since it was taken (another forum). I've just kept the "1" since for consistency.
I transferred to South Louisiana a few years later where I was able to obtain the photo I use for an avatar.

Diesel Phil ???????
While picking up parts at S&S Auto Parts in Bend, Oregon, I said, " My parts are in for 'Phil." The guy hollered into the back room..."parts for Phil?" and the voice from the back room asked..." Is that Mustang Phil? " "No, it's Diesel Phil!"
At the time, I owned a Ford diesel truck, and 4 Nissan diesel Maximas, of which I could usually keep 2 of them running! The name stuck and when we bought our 36' Classic DP, What else could I be? I would be the first to admit it is a lot nicer than some of the names I've been called! Diesel Phil and Sam.

My husband was in the Navy and grew up on the east coast sailing with his grandfather. It only seemed natural to name our land going vessel for good luck so it is the SS Crib. SS stands for SweetStream.

Nothing original here. It's just what I do to pay for our Airstream fun.

Interesting thread. Been wondering about some of those names.
Silver - for my love of Airstreams.
Ranger - I was a state park ranger for over 25 years.

I taught math in the high school for 37 years. Always wanted to travel in an Airstream "after math". My wife is a retired dental hygienist but "after teeth" just didn't have the same ring.

I actually spelled mine wrong, if you will... should have been "Strandski". My maiden name is Strand, and this is actually what my high school driver's ed teacher (from MANY years ago) would call me. He was also the football coach, so he always had to have nicknames for people.
"Slow down there, Strandski, this isn't a race ya know!!"

Road Geezer
I'm that smiling grey haired guy in your rear view mirror pulling an Airstream--Iggy by name--with our wheezing, over-the-hill Suburban ... If the Sub didn't have a widshield, I'd have bugs in my teeth. Life's a hoot !

Forums Names
Whitsend
When I moved to my tiny ranch'ita in the boonies SW of Austin & built my dream retirement home & barn, a friend insisted my land & home just had to have a name. She came up with Whitsend.
Whits - Part of my last name, End - She thinks I'll die on this land.
She just might be right.
For as long as I have been reading this Forum (my God the hours!! !!), can't believe I only stumbled on this thread today & read the whole great story. Thanks to all.

Couldn't think of anything clever - just used the tow vehicle's licence plate.
