Segment Protector Hinge Placement?
Recently scored a set of tall segment protectors for my Safari. I asked customer service at AS for instructions several days ago via e-mail and there has been nothing but "silence on the line"! My questions is where do you install the hinge...on the rivet line or inboard of that line? Two fairly new units at my storage place have them inboard of the rivet line and every new unit at my local dealer has them on the rivet line (picture attached). If on the rivet line is the answer do I need to shave or flatten the rivet heads for a smooth attachement? Any help would be appreciated!
