Need a source for Segment Protector latch

Help, I'm trying to find a source to buy a replacement turn latch that secures the corners of the SS rock / segment protectors.
I've found references in some Airstream service documents [see pic below], but so far am unable to find anywhere online (or local) that carries them.

Thanks for the help!

try a speed shop or a place that caters to the race car crowd.

they are commonly know as a "dzus" fastener. or a quarter turn fastener. i believe the race car guys use them to attach panels and equipment to race cars.

or just call a well stocked airstream dealer.

Hi, R&S,

Stop by your friendly local general aviation airport and visit the shop. Anybody that works on Cessnas will instantly recognize your fasteners. It's been a long time since I've been involved in that work, but back then they were not expensive.

A/S still has these. $11.50 (ouch) for the bracket against the trailer - didn't buy the screw.

aircraftspruce.com has the southco stuff, We use them on the cowl of the Rans S6 and S7. You have to do some measuring as they have different grip lenghts and different ends. phillips, flat, butterfly etc. Wicks Aircraft also has em Tim

Southco 82-35-306-10 (rubber receptacle)
Southco 82-11-180-16 (stud)- this is what Airstream installed on my 1993 Excella, it is different than what is pictured in the first post of this thread)

Vintage Trailer Supply has the rubber receptacle on clearance, they do not have the stud.

Out of Doors Mart have all three parts listed as available on their website.
