As I read your posts it seems like you're worried about someone stealing your trailer while it is actually hitched up to the tow vehicle. I think you're worrying to much on that aspect. It would be VERY difficult to do, much more work than most thieves want to expend. I've never heard of a trailer being stolen while connected. Almost always when parked and setup for camping when it's easy to back up and tow away. Possible with a small light utility trailer that has little tongue weight, but stealing a trailer this way with any substantial tongue weight would be very hard to do.

I love mine too As to the threat of someone stealing the trailer while parked and hitched to the TV, after reading the posts above I agree is overblown. Not only they have to cut/unscrew both bolts, there is also the TV in front to deal with. Thanks for all your input.

I don't think there is any question that some rigs do get stolen.
The name of the game is to make yours hard enough or high risk enough that the thieves will go somewhere else to steal an AS. This, however, is why most folks have insurance.

Insurance is a good last resort and IMHO making a claim is not free as the network of insurers (health and otherwise) share information (even Carfax) and one way or another, going forwards, you pay for the claim/s you made. They have actuaries who's job is to guarantee that outcome (you paying). We made once (as employers) a workers comp claim. Out premium not only skyrocketed but we had to fight to even get coverage by any insurer. So, having insurance may not be the remedy we hope for. I think it is like playing against the house in a casino, they make the rules, sort of conflict of interest. That's why I like Holdem. Yes, topic drift big time but somehow related

I have never agreed with "That's what we have insurance for".
Insurance doesn't remove the trauma and inconvenience.
When you make a claim, you pay it back through inflated rates for the next 3 years- so you pay 3 times over for said claim.
With Worker's Compensation insurance, you have to have a MOD rate below the industry average to continue servicing existing accounts and to procure new service contracts.

Adding to what others said about insurance, I invested in one of those SpotTrace GPS trackers. It's mounted permanently to the trailer and uses the house batteries in addition to its own internal battery.
It's motion activated and its sensitive enough that strong winds are enough for me to see an alert on my phone that motion was detected.
