Hitch selection...

Anyone here using a Recurve R6 made by Camco? A trailer / RV dealer in San Diego recommends this hitch over a Blue OX. The other option is a Reese Dual cam. The Recurve looks like a nice design, however, I'm not finding a lot of reviews, good or bad. Checked it out in person, and I like the concept, it seems to be well made.

We presently have a 2006 Dodge RAM, diesel, full size 4x4, AS is a 2015 Flying Cloud.

Have a Fastway E2 hitch that has little or no sway control and do not like it all.

Thoughts?

Recurve R2

Since there were no replies...
We ended up getting the tongue weighed and it was just around 1050#. More than the existing hitch and anti sway bar 1000# could accommodate.

The Recurve R6, with 1200# anti sway bars and adaptive control works really, really well. Both cross breeze and passing semi's are no longer a problem.

Anyway, thought I'd post a follow-up after purchasing and using the hitch.

Oh, and San Diego Trailer supply -- these folks are top shelf. Highly recommend.

Sorry you got no replies. I don't know anyone - other than you now - who has one. It's the hitch with the upside down bars, right? Looked like a smart idea - glad it works for you!

Hitch selection...

Do a search. Google is faster. SteveH and others addressed it earlier this year. You could PM some of them. About three threads.

It won't have any more centering force than other conventional integrated antisway hitches. What is important with that type is setting WD to a high amount. The more, the better.

A trip to the scale using the three pass method may show better performance from your present hitch.

Or, get an HA or PP. Bye bye sway.
