Tongue Jack malfunction
2020 international. The trailer has full power though the Jack is dead. Both Jack & light...no power. Any ideas?

Have you checked the fuse in the battery box?

also suggest you follow the power wire backwards from the jack, make sure its not pinched, or cut, somewhere along the path. Since your trailer is so new, perhaps a manufacturing variation led to premature wear or outright failure (wiring failure)

The jacks use the frame instead of a dedicated negative wire, so if the fuse is good, remove one bolt and improve the ground to frame by cleaning it. Or temporarily add a jumper back to the battery. If that works, take the jack off, remove the paint and corrosion and reattach.

Our jack blows its fuse whenever it runs up against the stop. The standard 15 A fuses I had on hand would blow immediately. I had to use the emergency crank to unhitch, and then run into town to get the larger size (Add these to your spare parts inventory if you haven’t already). End of problem, I just watched the jack position more carefully now.

Yup...30amp fuse is toast! It looks like the propane cover worked it’s way through the wire.

S1000pre, Thanks for the advice. It actually only happened once, but all i had in the toolbox were 15A fuses, so I thought I’d give it a try. Lesson learned about having complete spares.

My 2014 Barker jack specifies a slow-blow fuse.

Folks, just curious. What brand and model jack is AS using on your trailers?
