Victron History Help

We were out a few weeks ago for the first time really monitoring our solar setup. All seemed fine and we were pleased. On our return and upon reaching our storage, I did one last look at the Victron App. The system showed all “0” even though we had been in full sun all morning before departing and drove four hours in full sun. I was perplexed but didn’t think much of it.

Went to storage on Friday and opened the app. It asked for software upgrades so I let the system downloaded. Had the same “0” readings and the “history” had not progressed since my trip two weeks earlier.

Went to storage today, and again not update on the history. Same as it was over two weeks ago.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Victron History Help

Do you have a disconnect switch that is in the off position? Have you checked that all cables are connected and tight? It would certainly appear that the panels are not delivering current to the MPPT controller....

It’s showing battery voltage (seems to have been drawn down) so that is good and would point you toward the wiring / disconnect switch between the controller and the panels.

No disconnect that I’m aware of. I checked out the SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 and it shows a flashing blue light on the Bulk. I do have breakers on both the panel circuit and battery. I switched off and back to reset.

The item that initially triggered my concern is the “history” tab. The “today” reading is from more than two weeks ago. Shouldn’t the time still run even if the solar panels are not supplying power?

Yes time should march on if h controller is connected to the battery and live.

Have you tried connecting via Bluetooth and Victron Connect app to verify that it is delivering amps to the batteries?

Understood but what is the real-time view showing you when the sun is out?

Ok. Issue resolved. Some time on our last return trip, the panels got disconnected from the Factory roof box. Plugged them in and all seems well. Cloudy day with 2 100w panels.

Has anyone had issues with panels coming disconnected? Is there a need or way to improve this weak link?

You can add a zip tie stick on mount near the connection. Mine have never unplugged in tens of thousands of miles with a similar mount to these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XNBS6TG..._Fnx1EbF4P4V5Y. You may want to use 3M VHB tape to stick them to the roof.
